Mayfair Waves Puri

If you'd like to take your family to chill and relax without worrying about safety, please do consider this place. Definitely a luxury hotel, the views are amazing (provided you select the right room, ask for assistance for better understanding). The staff is very hospitable, very attentive to details, they provide guided visit to the Jagannath Temple (chargeable accordingly), and do also help in planning your itinerary for sightseeing (chargeable accordingly). Special callout to Mr. Pramod who helped with our room, we had a bit of hiccup with our booked room in terms of location but he promptly resolved it and provided us with a much better room which was spacious and comfortable to say the least. The view from the balcony was amazing and great service overall. They have a nice spread for breakfast and dinner at Waves catering to both the hotels with dishes from varying cuisines. Ashok and his team from their restuarant are very kind and make sure that we have a great meal. We also tried the Odia Thali at the 2 States Restaurant for the first time - absolutely worth it! Allahamuddin and his team were kind enough to explain us all the elements and recommended options best suited. Overall the options are a bit limited but taste amazing! Do plan to visit atleast once!

We stayed in a premium space along with our infant. The overall Experience was excellent , we loved the ambience , food, staff is very courteous . As we didn't want to step out much with our little one the property has all the required amenities and a private beach. We loved the property !

Probably the best and most expensive hotel in Puri. Hotel is well maintained, rooms are good and as expected from hotel of this range. Close by beach what they call private beach, but beach is not that great; many crabs on the shore. Reception team needs a special training on how the greet and welcome the guests.. they are quite flat and rude sometimes.. other house keeping staff is good.. food is good but way expensive.. few more activities should be added for kids..

Great Location, But Service & Amenities Fall Short of a 5-Star Tag Location: (5/5) Mayfair Waves is located in one of the most prime areas of Puri. Just 10 minutes from the railway station and Puri market. 100 meters from Mayfair Heritage and Neeladri Beach. Best part? Private and direct beach access to a clean, peaceful beach -- a major win for beach lovers. --- Amenities & Facilities: (2/5) The amenities are present -- but the quality is far from what you expect at a 5-star resort. Gym: Poor setup, rusted dumbbells, very limited equipment. Games Room: Air hockey doesn't work Carrom board is mostly scratched Chess board is average TT table is decent Spa: This was one of the worst spa experiences we've had. We opted for foot, head, and aroma spa services. No ambience (no music, candles, or lighting). No consultation on pressure sensitivity. Staff seemed untrained -- left us more stressed than relaxed. > A direct request to the management: Please train the spa team and upgrade the setup immediately! --- Hospitality & Service: (2/5) Reception staff was cold, slow, and lacked empathy. No welcome drink or warm greeting -- not even a smile. Room AC broke down one night -- took hours to resolve, and multiple calls to get the new key card. Room service was painfully slow -- had to call 5-7 times to clear cutlery, often ended up placing it myself outside. Pool dress code enforcement was inconsistent and poorly communicated. We were told to follow strict dress rules, which we respected and complied with (even purchased swimsuits). However, other guests were allowed in with casual clothing. > Either enforce rules fairly or don't enforce them at all. Shout-out to Bibhu from room service -- warm, helpful, and one of the few staff members who showed true hospitality. Thank you! --- Stay Quality: (3/5) Overall, the stay was average. Certainly not up to the mark compared to other 5-star properties across India. The property has potential, but the management needs to seriously improve service standards and maintenance. --- Food & Dining: (4/5) Buffet breakfast: Wide spread, great taste, and polite staff. > Feedback: Rotate some menu items daily to keep it fresh. Room service/dine-in: Tasty and generous portions, though priced high (as expected in such resorts). --- Conclusion: While Mayfair Waves has an unbeatable location and a peaceful beach access, the experience falls short due to poor maintenance, untrained staff, and inconsistent service. The basics of hospitality were missing -- and that's what hurts most in a premium resort. We expected more -- not just luxury, but warmth, empathy, and consistency. Management, please take this feedback seriously -- you have a gem of a property, but the shine is fading fast.

We recently stayed at Mayfair Waves Puri and, unfortunately, had a disappointing experience. Our check-out time, as stated in the confirmation email, was 12 noon. However, at 9 AM--three hours before our scheduled departure--we were abruptly informed that we had to check out immediately. This was highly inconvenient, especially as we were a family of 11, including senior citizens, who had just returned from a tiring visit to the Jagannath Temple the previous night. We have our booking mail confirmation which specifies our 12 noon checkout time. Also, 12 noon checkout time is a widely followed convention and also mentioned in the Mayfair website. Moreover, the rooms appeared worn out and not well-maintained, which was disappointing given our expectations. That said, I strongly suggest reconsidering before choosing Mayfair Hotels.

Additionally, we requested an extra bed in one of our rooms, only to find it infested with bed bugs. This was extremely unpleasant and likely a result of unclean sheets. Anyone considering an extra bed should be aware of this issue. Moreover, the rooms appeared worn out and not well-maintained, which was disappointing given our expectations.

WORST EXPERIENCE AT MAYFAIR WAVES Despite our booking confirmation clearly stating a 12 noon check-out, we were unexpectedly asked to vacate our rooms at 9 AM--three hours earlier than expected. This was highly inconvenient, especially as we were traveling as a family of 11, including elderly members who had just returned from a tiring visit to the Jagannath Temple the previous night. A 12 noon check-out is a standard policy, even mentioned on the Mayfair website, so this abrupt request was completely unjustified. We felt completely ignored and were left dejected. We couldn't enjoy our breakfast. We had to hurry to the reception and ask them for a later checkout.

Loved staying at Mayfair Waves. From the cuisine (every item was outstanding!) to the rooms to the hospitality, every detail was spot on! Very friendly staff and management. From arranging car for pickup/dropoff, panda for Puri Jagannath to house-keeping requests. Delighted to stay here.
