Chilika Heritage Resort

This was by far the worst hotel experience I've ever had. The rooms were in terrible condition, and the so-called AC rooms had leaking washbasins and extremely low water pressure. I strongly advise against staying at this hotel. I initially booked a Non-AC room, only to discover that there was no hot water or geyser, even though it was clearly mentioned on Goibibo that a geyser was available. When I asked to upgrade to an AC room, they demanded extra charges, but the condition of the AC room was even worse. The attached images speak for themselves. The hotel management is unprofessional, and the food served is utterly tasteless. Avoid this place at all costs.

The room facilities are too good but I'll suggest out side food to enjoy your meal. Best resort for to visit chilka lake

Chilika Heritage Resort is just WoW. We recently visited on DEC2024 and experienced a superb budgeted stay. It's just 300m away from OTDC Kalijai Counter, a easy walkable distance. OnCall bookings gives us Great Discounts and easy stay. Great place of Car parking and washing facility Jayy Jagganath and will.visit soon

Their are all amenities as well as rooms are clean and hygiene. Parking is very well.And rooms hire is cheap for rich people but it is excessive costly for poor people. It is best for living in difficult time.

The hotel staffs were really attentive and helpful.. Our rooms were clean, properly ventilated with AC and with all the basic amenities. Although it is located on the beautiful banks of Chilika lake within walkable distance to the lake, the place is still a village and missing a lot of modern amenities. Overall it's worth the stay as the hotel doesn't charge hefty amount for the rooms.

The hotel is in a walking distance from the lake and from Barakul Panthniwas. All the staff we very well mannered and the service is on Top. We went on off season so according to price we got a good deal. T place is very peaceful and perfect for family and friends.

First of all, it is a late review. We have stayed there in the beginning of November 23. The hotel is very clean so the rooms are. The Barkul OTDC is situated just beside as well as the jetty. The room service was good and the food was suprisingly good. Tried so many items from their menu and most of them were awesome. I don't know why some people were not happy with their food. The only cons is that they have no wifi. But, I hope they will install the facility in near future. We went there from Kolkata with a leisure drive and will certainly halt there again in future when we have to go to southern part of India.
