Hampton Inn & Suites Mahwah

The Hampton Inn in Mahwah is very cozy and modern overall. I stayed for two nights during an NYC trip as it is close proximity to a friend's house as well as NJ transit. The bed was super comfortable, and the lobby was super chic and refreshing. I love how there is a QuickChek basically right next door - you never can go wrong with 24 hour MTO food and snacks! From the refreshed exterior to the serene, well-appointed rooms, I found the property to be the perfect place to catch up on sleep - it was very quiet and inexpensive compared to surrounding properties. Even though the rooms are not as modern or posh as newer/recently refreshed Hampton Inn properties, it still fit the bill. I definitely recommend considering this property if you are considering a trip to NYC and are looking to stay in NJ!

Shower had black mold, upholstery on seat of desk chair was grossly dirty, TV was smeared with cleaning material, TV remote needed new batteries, marks and holes on bathroom wall, room phone did not work. After seeing the photos taken, the manager did comp the room but it should have never gotten this disgusting.

I had a very nice stay at Hampton Inn Mahwah. The room was nice and had everything I needed including a fridge and microwave. There was a miscommunication when booking my stay, but the staff worked quickly to make corrections and I sincerely appreciate the effort. Thanks Matt! Additionally the surrounding area is quite enjoyable, after work I spent time exploring Ringwood State Park and Warm Puppy Rock. I hope to get back there soon. Thank you

I dealt with Christopher Leone who is a Guest Service Agent and he was PHENOMENAL! My team had no place to stay at the last minute during their school trip and Not only was Christopher accommodating but he put my mind at ease and assured that things would be taken care of. He kept his word! I was very pleased with his professionalism and compassion for my unique situation!

Breakfast is great, many options and good for business and family trips. R[ms are clean don't smell like smoke. Customer service excellent, staff very friendly

I would love to give 5 stars because this is the friendliest Hampton I've ever been to. I encountered about 5 different employees during our stay and each person was outstanding. They seemed happy to be there. They are extremely welcoming to pets and that's always a good feeling if you have furkids. The bad....the toilet in our room was chipping and looked run down to the point it just looked dirty. There was no decaf coffee available each morning but somehow would pop up when we'd walk through the lobby at 4 pm. Some people have a sensitivity to caffeine or have heart issues and still like the taste of coffee. I wish it was consistently put out and my experience would have been 5 stars. Went next door to get coffee. The pool was too cold to swim in. But again the staff is a 10 out of 10 which makes up for most of my disappointment. Will be back and hopefully I can have my morning coffee at the hotel.

I think this is a rare opportunity to put a 5star review to a hotel. The rooms are clean and spacious. Swimming pool is a real charm. I loved the body care products. It is so uncommon for the hotel to use that brand. Thank you. Watch out for the breakfast, the refill is late and the place is a bit dirty about 9 o'clock but still everybody can find the food.

Great spot if your looking to go to New York City, since it is only about 30-45 minutes out from manhattan. Plenty of places to eat around there. I was there for work so I didn't get a chance to check out anything. But there are a couple restaurants that are near there. The mason jar and brothers bbq. Both are excellent. The rooms were clean. Breakfast left a little to be desired. But if your looking for an affordable option when traveling then this is the place
