Beware of this hotel. It is in Manners Street and has many homeless antisocial people in its vicinity. I booked the hotel because it stated secure parking and touted Te Aro as the best neighborhood in Wellington. When I arrived for my 3 night stay I was told there was no parking left and I'd have to use the Lombard Street Wilson carpark behind the building. This was an additional $42.50 per night using a discounted Partkmate rate. On exiting the carpark there were homeless drunk people on the ground floor or the carpark and human extricate in one of the bays. I deemed it to risky to leave my car there and booked another hotel with a car park. My stay at the place lasted 2 hours so i asked for 2 nights refund and ghid has been refused. I'm well over $300 out of pocket. Beware of this hotel

Be very careful booking this hotel. I accidentally booked march 12 instead of 12 February and when I showed up one day after booking they told me booking is non-refundable and they wouldn't refund or apply that money to that day! I had to pay again for 2 nights as I had nowhere else to go. I had arrived by taxi from the airport after travelling, I was extremely tired. I emailed several times explaining the situation and received no response until 6th march saying booking is non-refundable.
Prime location in Manners Street, right next to Cuba Street and in walking distance of Te Papa, the Waterfront, Cable Car and more. The reception staff were really friendly, and we had no disturbances during our stay, as the hotel was very quiet despite its central location. Our room was satisfactory, the only thing we noticed was that there was no window in our room. Apart from that, we were very happy. There is a Wilson's parking house right next to the hotel at Bond Street, and is even reachable via the hotel elevator. The hotel charges 25$ per night to park in the section that is reserved to them on the 4th floor of the carpark, however it is a few dollars cheaper to park on any of the other floors and pay at the Wilson's parking machines instead. As the Hotel is in Manners Street, there is no roadside parking available, and this is your most comfortable option.
Very basic stark hotel. Mismatched old furniture. Beds are horrible ,old uncomfortable. Torn bed base in one of them. The fridge sounded like a tractor. But it's the noise from the street and from the other rooms. Walls paper thin. NO SLEEP| |Think this must of been an office block converted. Just no homely feel. The couch covers were a shame. they did not even fit, old worn out couches underneath. The lift felt like it was right next door.||Location good. Reception guy was nice|No sleep for the charge not worth it
Advertised with parking then charged $25 extra to park car Place is terrible like a maze to find your room Avoid
