Had a fantastic stay here! The front desk staff, especially the gentleman who checked us in, was absolutely amazing, so helpful, friendly, and positive. He assisted us not just with check-in but also with directions, local recommendations, and anything else we needed. Truly great customer service! We need more people like him in customer service. The room was neat, clean, and fully self-contained with a hot plate, utensils, and even a dishwasher. The bathroom was a bonus too, equipped with a washer and dryer, perfect for doing laundry before continuing our travels. The location was absolutely spot on, so many cafes, restaurants, and fun spots within walking distance, including vibrant Cuba Street. As a tourist, I couldn't have asked for better! Parking was very convenient as well, with ample safe paid parking at the hotel and plenty of street parking options nearby if needed. Overall, excellent value for money with all the amenities you could need, ideal for both short and long stays. Highly recommend as my stay here was nice and comfortable.

Excellent customer service - I had a disappointing experience at a nearby hotel today - online it looked upmarket - and priced as such - but it was budget in reality - small, average quality kettle - mine stopped working, no air-con, poor ceiling fan. It was superficially good, however, after two days the limitations were stark. I wanted to leave this hotel to find somewhere more appropriate, comfortable & and relaxing to end my stay in this beautiful country. I walked a few minutes to Ramada, an internationally respected brand. While a large room - suitable for remote working - was not available on short notice - the manager was fantastic. He listened and empathised so genuinely that I wanted to publicly recognise his commitment and care. [NOTE : I have not rated the rooms as a large one was not free at short notice. Howver, all guests interacting with the Manager for the time I was there seemed friendly and certainly did not raise any complaints. It is all too rare in this era of impersonal or non-existent service to have your mood improved inba hotel foyer! Thank you for listening, showing genuine empathy and real local knowledge. This commitment to customer service and being an ambassador for the best of Wellington is what I love about travel. I also liked how the hotel obviously attracted diverse and interesting guests - local & international - couples, solo travellers, people staying for a few days or a week.
Such comfy bedding. Room was lovely and warm which was a pleasant surprise when coming in from the cold weather. Easy access in and out of the hotel. Friendly and helpful staff. Will definitely recommend the hotel to others, expecting so central to wellington city centre. Thoroughly enjoyable stay.
Excellent, central location. Massive, well-equipped room. The kitchenette and laundry in the room were a great bonus. The bed was very comfortable. The staff at reception were friendly and helpful. The hotel parking seems to be a bit of a nightmare - $35 per night in a car stacker. I parked on Vivian Street just outside the hotel. The car was safe. You need to pay until 8pm (although most of that time I was out so didn't cost much) then it is free overnight.
Not luxurious - but is comfortable & functional. Room - Stayed in One King Bed Apartment, Room 311, payed $361.81 for 2 Nights via Booking.com Corner room facing the main road (so there is street noise). Well-lit spacious room, reasonable size but very poor use of space. Bedroom is separate from lounge with TV (so can't watch TV from the bed). Kitchenette is very decent in size for small meal preparations, includes fridge, dishwasher, cook top & basic crockery, cutlery & cooking utensils. Extremely comfortable bed, pillows & bedding. Huge bonus is having your own washing machine & dryer in bathroom. The shower drain did Not drain well so had very slow showers to allow water to drain & not overflow outside of shower box. Location - Hotel is within easy walking distance to cafes, restaurants but not central to downtown. There is a bus stop right outside main front entrance Cleanliness - Room cleaning is poor. Carpet didn't appear to have been vacuumed properly especially at the corners & along the walls. Crumbs & lint on the floors, & crumbs in cutlery drawer. Dusting doesn't appear to have happened in at least a week as very noticeable dust on light switches, power points, coffee table, washing machine, fridge, microwave & shelf, toilet paper roll holder. TV remote was absolutely filthy so gave that a good wipe down. Stainless steel heated towel rail not clean with stains & water marks. Noticeable dust, lint & hairs on bathroom floor & skirting. Kitchen rubbish bin is dirty & well overdue a proper wash under running water (both inside & outside of bins). Exterior of kettle needed a good wipe down. Dishwasher hadn't been emptied & food still on cutlery. Reception - staff aren't rude, but also aren't welcoming. They will only greet or acknowledge you if you initiate the chat, otherwise most of the time they are occupied on their phone or computer/paper work. Recommendation: need at least 2 luggage racks, 12 hangers, a dish rack (for those who still wash dishes). I'd potentially stay again if I had nowhere else to stay, but would not recommend.
Being from the U.S. I rely on reviews to help me determine hotels and restaurants. This Ramada in Wellington is a great choice. Location is ideal for walking to restaurants, grocery stores, and the harbor and Te Papa Museum (absolutely fabulous by the way). The King suite had comfortable bed and bedding. We were on the third floor and it was very quiet though right in the center of town. Minimal accent chairs to watch TV, but still comfortable since we also had table chairs to sit on. The mini-kitchen provided more than most with dishes/pans/glasses/utensils and more; a fridge, plus a dishwasher. We ate in for breakfast usually. Also a washer and dryer! This gave the most I've experienced for the dollars spent. Though not upscale with restaurants and bars within the hotel, we didn't care about that anyway. Too much to experience all around us in Wellington. Such a beautiful city!
Stayed here for 2 nights and the location, room, bed, service and receptionist were all fantastic! I highly recommend this place, it was really good value for money and I was so glad it was very quiet we really had a restful stay. Our room had a kitchenette with dishwasher and washing machine/dryer as well so I can imagine it being a comfy longer stay option as it has all you can ever need! We'll be back!
We had great stay in this well located lovely hotel. Very comfy with little kitchenette and fridge, spacious area.||Located neat Cuba st with fantastic restaurants, bars and a supermarket. Nice shops and walk to the harbour was very pleasant!
