Outstanding place for the price. Yeah the parking situation sucks (+$25/day, or street parking) and it would have been nice to know this before I arrived- but that's what you get in a big City like Wellington. The front desk employee was extremely kind, the room is huge, multiple free laundry rooms throughout the floors, key fob front door for security, and all the kitchen appliances/utensils that you might need. I would return here forsure

Very friendly and helpful staff. For a studio apartment it was quite spacious. Clean throughout, comfortable bed, spacious bathroom, great shower and kitchen was functional. The car parking arrangement despite being somewhat pricey was a good way to keep the car safe and a guaranteed spot every night, because on-street parking was very limited and felt unsafe. The building itself was a bit old and tired and it would have been good to have a TV over or near the bed. The location was good if you only wanted access to/from the apartment, but in terms of surrounding services and/or hospitality venues, most of them, including the local supermarket closed by 9pm.
The worst Quest in NZ. Filthy, tired, with paint peeling off walls and windows. Very noisy. Dishwasher broken. Bathroom definitely had drainage problems. Bed hard and I doubt if the sheets had been changed. Stained carpet and floor around toilet. First room they gave us had paint peeling off the walls and half painted ceiling.Everything felt dirty. Complained but Management blamed cleaning staff when in fact half the problem was lack of maintenance and him. I have seen dog kennels alot cleaner! One star rating is too much! . .
The hotel room sits in level 3, right behind its reception area, no 24/7 reception available. Very weird setup, if single lady staying, would not feel safe.Very noisy apartment. Inside there's noisy toilet with water goes off every one minute,. Outside on Lampton, you could hear all traffic and people talking. Definitely not worthy of the money and don't suggest anyone there.
Oh dear, this place needs massive investment! We were very disappointed in the furnishings and furniture at this Quest at 120 Lambton. Old tired carpet, curtains half hanging down, old uncomfortable sofas, and a poorly equipped kitchen. Worst of all, when we switched on the oven, it fused all the electrics, which was worrying as there obviously a problem. The location is great and the reception staff did their best, but it was the worst standard of accommodation we stayed in on our 3 week tour of NZ.
When you have to take antihistamines to stay in a dust filled room, avoid it unless you want the worst hayfever ever. Even the main entrance is dusty and duty. Dust on the roof above bed, dust in bed, dust in kitchen and living room. Floors not mopped, still leftover food on the floor, not to mention someone else's leftover makeup removal cotton pad left on the coffee table. Carpets and curtains stained, roof stained above kitchenette. Then there is the fixtures in the bathroom falling off the wall, shower door not cleaned. First night had so much street noise didn't sleep and couldnt sleep during the day due to street renovations, second night had guests kids yahooing in the corridor, not to mention the creepy corridor where you have to walk around in the dark to get the light to turn on so you can look the door of your room. All out worst place I have ever stayed in.
Was very disappointed with the parking service that quest provide after staying a night with them I was told by reception that my back car window was smashed and that they had no camera recordings . They informed me I must email the third party, to get details after that wild goose chase the parking company said quest have no cameras in that area!!... other people's cars next to mine had been broken into also so this is the reason I give the quest a low score due to miscommunication and parking was a horrible experience...
Looking at other views mine is similar. Good location - excellent in fact. The room - was very tired, paint bubbling off walls, carpets filthy/stained, entire room very outdated. Two seater lounge with vinyl peeling off. But the worst part was the rock hard bed - we stayed 3 nights unfortunately - had the worst sleep due to the bed. Noisy rooms - could easily hear neighbours come and go and street sweepers along with rubbish collectors. As with others would give it a wide berth if I was ever in Wellington again. Spend some money to get good reviews Quest on Lambton. Real disappointment for stay 3 of our 3 week stay in NZ.
