Gilmer Apartment Hotel Wellington

This place had good reviews when I booked it, and it deserves them. Quiet, very centrally and conveniently situated, comfy bed, everything we needed, including a well set up kitchenette that we cooked in a couple of times. Our room and the public spaces had nice decorating touches, overall it was much more upmarket looking than the incredibly good prices suggested. Friendly, happy seeming staff which is always a good sign. We will definitely be back.

Great location within walking distance to everything we wanted. Rooms are comfortable, clean and well maintained. Staff were friendly. We had 2 rooms for our family and it worked well for our short stay. Would recommend booking their parking as it is on site rather than in a seperate building. Would definitely stay again and recommend to others.

Awesome location. Very clean and tidy. Well presented apartment. Great place to stay on business. The room had everything you need for a few nights. Shops and cafes/restaurants all within close walking distance. MOTORWAY OFF RAMP and ON RAMP was 30 to 45secs!

A lovely apartment hotel tht is conveniently located. I had a room on the second floor and although it looked out to the building next door, it was spacious. The room was very well equipped with even a washer/dryer! It was also a spotless room and the cleaners should be commended! I enjoyed my stay there as it was a very comfortable stay. It was hilly walking up to the university but this is Wellington afterall... I would certainly stay here again!

Spacious and very comfortable! Huge bonus to have a kitchen and laundry which both came in very handy during our stay. Staff friendly, professional and knowledgeable. Location perfect and walking distance to shops, restaurants and waterfront. Highly recommend!

Visitors from QLD Australia. Born in Palmerston North, and live in Qld. Stayed 2 nights March 2025 Very comfortable and relaxing apartment. Close proximity to necessities. Beds - 15/10 Clean - 10/10 Shower - bit small and door tricky, certainly a hand held shower rose would be beneficial. Washing machine / Dryer - noisy and bothering. The only issue we had was with the dryer. Didn't matter what setting we used for the Dryer, our washing was damp even after 2hour cycles on heat. Reception said we could use the commercial dryer downstairs at a small coin cost. We ended up persevering the best we could. We would return again. But I'd be discussing with the Manager before hand on the above prior to booking. Hoping it was a one off. Thank you. Eri & John Carey

I needed accommodation in the CBD as daughters graduation ceremony located in city close to location of Gilmer Apartment Hotel. |Staff, excellent. Room very functional. Even had a washing machine/dryer. |Kitchenette was good & enough utensils to aid cooking a meal if required.|Comfy bed. |Obviously, being located in the city, the rubbish trucks, construction nearby & general city noises are going to wake you up quite abruptly early . |Views of high rise car parks out of windows a bit of an eyesore . |Minor moaning points related to city accommodation all over the world. |Enjoyed time in Wellington & would stay at the Gilmer again.
