Homewood Suites by Hilton Mahwah

Absolutely lovely experience here this weekend. Greeted warmly and kindly--easy to park and locate just off Route 17 Southbound Lane. Our 2 bedroom and bathroom suite was exactly what we needed for our small family. Beds very comfortable and everything in good working order. Quiet area. Great breakfast! Highly recommend. Note to management: cabinet door missing in kitchenette. Might be nice to get that repaired.

We had a good 10-night stay here. The room was spacious and comfortable, and the hotel location put us right where we needed to be for business here. The staff at the front desk was always very helpful. I was particularly impressed by the housekeeping staff - they were efficient and left the room looking great each morning. Also, the hot breakfast stood out: More menu items than you would expect, and better quality than many other hotels in the same price range. The staff member overseeing the breakfast each morning managed to keep a crowd of hungry folks happy. Thanks!

The staff at this hotel especially Ms. Monica Brosius were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Because of her we will definitely come back. The rooms were spotless and very comfortable. We also enjoyed the delicious breakfast each morning and loved the convenient location close to our family and friends.

I enjoyed staying this hotel. Nice and spacious room. Two bathrooms were so useful and made our stay satisfied. Breakfast was good too. One thing needed to improve was to fill the all shower essentials such as shampoo. Monica, front desk, was so nice and helpful. I'll come back. Thank you Monica!

Our group recently conducted leadership meeting and stayed for 2 nights in Homewood Suites Mahwah. We are grateful that we received excellent customer service from Monica Brosius. Whenever we needed assistance, from checking in and during our meetings, she responded promptly and made us feel valued as guests. She made a difference to our group's review of the hotel and definitely would like to consider this hotel again for our next annual group meeting and personal stay. ||The hotel room and meeting hall were clean and comfortable, reflecting the hotel's commitment to quality. The free breakfast is also good.

The pro's....Room was clean, breakfast was way better than I thought it was going to be, staff seems very friendly and helpful. The negatives...$150 incidental hold for a night's stay in a room that only had a rate of $170? That's a bit much. There is definitely an odd odor around the entire hotel. I can't but my finger on it, but it's off-putting. There was a strong police presence in the hotel all morning. Apparently a guest was having an issue. When I say strong police presence, I'm talking about 4 police cars with multiple officers and detectives. Did not leave us in a very comfortable position. I get the vibe that this plays houses section 8 type situations. Not that there is an issue with that, but the place just looks and feels like the majority of the guests are families being housed here long term. The hotel feels very lived in. I generally enjoy Homewood Suites Hotels as a Hilton Rewards Member but this one just didn't feel the same.

The rooms were great, having a living room, kitchen, bathroom, and master bedroom. This was one of the nicer hotels i have seen. The only problem with this was most people don't spend a lot of time in their room other than to sleep. The service was very mid as i didn't order the room service and em were very hard to find. The location is very bad, right off the side of the highway, and you must take an uber to get anywhere else. It is also very far from the town.
