The Mirage Kohima

I have mixed feelings about this new hotel. Great location, most friendly, service minded staff and a best in class restaurant (Essences) that opened during my visit. I had the most amazing meal served by warm, friendly and professional staff. Great dining experience. My room was clean and comfortable. Unfortunately, the hotel team has several operational kinks to address, at least for the room I had. there was no water for the wash basin, the shower heater was not working, and the wifi was not working in my room. Interesting the hotel would rent a room with these issues. I declined the hotel's offer to downgrade my room (smaller room/no A/C). I suspect The Mirage will be one Kohima's leading hotels in the months ahead.

We tried the restaurant(lounge) staffs and services were great, food was good too. The design of the restaurant was a mix of modern and classic combined, the place would be suiting to more of continental food rather than Indian cuisine. I'm sure the Indian food is great, haven't tried it though. Over all, will definitely visit again to try other items in the menu.

A very good budget friendly hotel situated in the heart of the city. Rooms are specious. Staffs are professional and helpful. Just a suggestion, please add few amenities like cloth hangers , plates of dinning as food comes from outside hotel.

The hotel's location is definitely a highlight - just a 10-minute walk from the War Cemetery and right near Razhu Point. The staffs are friendly and welcoming, and the rooms are clean and with good views. However, all packaged products are sold way above the MRP, which the hotel claims is a standard practice to charge extra, but it's absolutely unethical to charge more than the MRP.

New build hotel with cooperative staff. Standard Room size is average.Room and bathroom were clean . Location in the main market and easily accessible.
