I am from Shillong and it was my first visit to Aizawl, the owners ar very hospitable and helpful. Uncle (the owner) seeing I was from shillong spoke to me in my mother tongue and knew some people from my home state and I thought that was very delightful. Super friendly people and the rooms were amazing and I got a balcony view of Aizawl city. The food was also very good and I would recommend anyone coming to Aizawl to stay in this homestay

The view from the balcony and windows was wonderful. The room I was staying in, was quite clean and cosy. The bed and sofa were good. The heater and geyser worked properly. But the waiters were so busy that they had to be called up multiple times before they came to service. Also, the rent per day was very high.

ZRS Homestay was suggested to us by our tour operator. We had never stayed in a homestay earlier, but agreed on learning that the owner is a retired senior government officer, who would be able to reply to our queries about Mizoram and North-east India. ||||The Homestay has three rooms for guests, two on the second floor and one on the first floor. The room at the first floor has its individual balcony, while the second floor has a big sundeck (open common balcony). We stayed in the suite at the second floor. We took meals on the sundeck enjoying the view of the hill. The lights from the buildings on the opposite hill at night with no horn traffic of Aizawl make it mesmerizing!||||The rooms have been thoughtfully planned with clean linens, individual bathroom with geyser, television, cupboard, electric kettle with tea bags, slippers, wifi, intercom for service requests etc. Our room had a separate curtained space with sofa-sets and television, making it suitable for business meetings as well. Should the guests need, the owner family does its best to make their stay comfortable. We saw business travellers, young ladies, families with little children - all guests comfortable in the Homestay with guest children playing with host family's children. The family is friendly and yet unintrusive; it is possible to stay here even without interacting with them just like staying in a hotel. Breakfast and meals including vegetarian options are available. The cooking style even for north Indian food (dal and sabji) is Mizo-influenced (i.e. boiled vegetables stirred in gravy without minimal spices), but they strive to meet your taste expectations. Chapatis and aloo parathas are available.||||ZRS Homestay is located in a peaceful residential area. After our stay at a distant sightseeing place in tourist lodge, which although was big and located at a beautiful location but had maintenance and hygiene issues, and subsequent long travel in curvy mountain roads, we preferred to come back to ZRS Homestay instead of staying at a hotel in noisy downtown Aizawl.||||We have pleasant memories of our stay at ZRS Homestay.

My family (mother and her sisters) stayed at ZRS homestay. It's a well maintained, clean and we'll managed property. Perfect for a family in the town. The rooms are very spacious with amazing view of the hills. The homestay also has balcony.||The owner Mr. Konga, was very friendly and helpful from the booking process, payment process and the hospitality. Breakfast was provided to them and it was a great meal to begin the day.||Would recommend Mr. Konga and his hospitality at ZRS Homestay.||Thank you||Prabha Iyer

ZRS homestay is located in the Zoltlang region of Aizawl. It is located slightly far from the city centre, around 2.5-3 kms. You can take a cab or bike taxi, or you can walk, which we did while returning from the city centre. It was downhill road. This homestay was honestly beyond staggering. I have stayed in lots of hotels and homestays and this has to be among the best ones. The room provided to us was the best one they had. It had 2 beds, along with lots and lots of space. Sofa, geyser, even a fridge was there for our use. The room felt slightly warm in the morning, but in the night it cooled sufficiently. I guess this is due to sunlight falling directly, which is good for winter. From the huge shuttered door to the balcony we could see the sun set, which was a first for me. The view from the top at night was truly spectacular. It was like surrounded by small dots. The hospitality was also very good. Breakfast was complimentary and the dinner and lunch was 250-300 veg and non veg. While it may seem slightly high, the food quantity was humongous so we really struggled to finish the food! They even took care of all out needs including booking cars and keeping the rooms without extra. Everyone was so jolly as well, and Boithe the owner came regularly to check on us. If you visit Aizawl, this is literally THE place to see. there was 2 roofs as well and we spent all our time taking in the sights sitting in the terraces. If I could give 10 stars, i would have. This place was THAT good!!!

It's a beautiful and well maintained homestay, little away from the city and it's hustle bustle. Rooms are huge in size with mountain views, balcony and all other facilities. |The owner was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast provided and other means were excellent.|Overall a perfect place to stay for families.

An excellent and reasonable priced option in all of Aizwal. The family makes you feel at home and the food and service is Michelin class. The rooms Re superb and the views are outstanding. A must visit when in Aizawl.

I had visited Aizwal in 1979 at the age of 22. Stayed for 2 days. In the deep of my heart I still have great love for the place and the people. Want to visit some day and stay for 20-30 days. Want to see the state and meet the people with golden heart. Always wished all the best for the state and the people.
