Emerald Hotel

It doesn't look like a delux suite. A standard room in other hotels is far better than this. There are big crockroches in the room roaming like its their room. Ants on bed and chair. Towels are not properly cleaned. Bathroom is all chocked up with water while taking bath. Booked airport drop 2 days prior but still ended with no cab at the time of check out. Overall not a good experience of staying here. Not recommended at all.

Locationwise this hotel is perfect as its just adjacent to the mizofed petrol pump and several government buildings. The front desk is very helpful in getting taxi etc. Rooms are really really small for the cost but neat and clean. Food was good too. All in all this hotel is good for short stays in Aizawl.

We made the horrible decision of booking this hotel for our Burmese friends who had come to visit Aizawl. There was so much disrespect and complete disregard for our friends from the hotel staff. While the staff would help other guests with their luggage, the staff ignored their Burmese guests. The AC was non-functional in one of the rooms and the hotel did not take care of the issue. They simply provided a fan. There was no hospitality from the hotel staff at all! The receptionist at the front desk probably did not see the need to greet the hotel's guests! Really shocked to see such kind of poor service in a new establishment. I hope the hotel staff would do better in treating everyone equally and realise that such bad treatment given to certain people gives a bad name to Mizoram.

Reach your room at night and the room key and even their master key might not work. Stood outside our rooms for atleast 2 hours on 1st Jan'25! Stand under a shower and the water might not be there. Go for breakfast and you might be served a fungus bread. We came here for New Years, and they sure made our trip quite memorable!

Place is nice but the food price is exorbitantly high..!! One steam pork for 560??? C'mon you cAN DO BETTER and 1litre of water cost60rs??? Wtf please revamp your management system or i will never come here again and never suggest one to my dear ones

I had an absolutely horrible experience at this hotel. During my stay, one of the employees entered my room without permission and stole a significant amount of money. When I reported the incident to the management, I was met with complete indifference. Not only did they fail to take any responsibility, but they also refused to offer any apology or take action. The lack of accountability from both the staff and the management is shocking and unacceptable. I felt unsafe throughout my stay and would never recommend this place to anyone. Stay away if you value your security and peace of mind!

For a city like Aizawl, this is one of the best accommodations. Food was decent but do not expect a variety on the menu.

Hotel Emerald is an excellent hotel with reasonably priced rooms and strategic location just opposite the old secretariat of Aizawl and about 2 km from Bada Bazar. The hotel has a restaurant which serves tasty food. There is good variety of vegetarian food. Veg clear soup daal Tadka bhindi masala veg biryani and local Mizo veg delicacies are recommended.Mizo Bai... Authentic Mizo Veg is spicy but amazing. Hotel staff is very helpful and courteous.
