Aizawl Guest House

Had a wonderful stay at Aizawl Guest House! The location is absolutely stunning--high up in the mountains with breathtaking views of the surroundings. The peaceful atmosphere makes it a perfect place to relax. The staff is very cooperative and always ready to help, making the stay even more comfortable. The food is decent and adds to the pleasant experience. Overall, a great place to stay if you're visiting Aizawl. Highly recommended!

One of the best experience . Very kind and friendly staffs . The staffs are so available when in need . Very grateful to Mary, Manager who got an extra helping hands. Very much recommended. This place has made our stay in Aizawl feel more like home. Would definitely be back here when I visit Aizawl again. The view was beautiful but the cuisine was horrible. There was no breakfast being served. The food orders took forever and still tasted bland; completely devoid of flavours. The hospitality service was odd to say the least. I've never seen the owner and employees smiling back at customers. Also, my much needed sleep was ruined by the horny couple next door. Lol

Even though the view was all this place had left to offer. Becauze when i planned to stay at this place for 5 nights . The happened to be rain one day and there was alot of leakage ,my bed got wet the room was full with water. And to add to it . The manager came up to me and said we have to move from there as they had maintainance to do . Then we were offered another room . And the manager then comes and says sorry we are double booked . We cannot offer you to saty you have to move to another room or you can have your mobey back for the following nights left and leave . Such a disappointment when i go with my family for a visit to Aizwal. Even the owner couldint help . She said deal with the manager. And eventually we left this place in disappointment . The manager had 0 customer service , she was rude . This is no hospitality . She did not even understand our situation . It was the worst hospitality i have ever seen before . The room was booked for 4 people . The amenities were not placed in the room . Blankets and pillow had to be asked for . No infomation about breakfast was given , wifi wasnt offered , food they serve there is pathetic those roti was so hard . No butter no jam just plain roti for breakfast . I tried the menu for lunch and dinner and it was not up to the mark. The only good thing was the view .

Disappointing Stay - Aizawl Guest House Lacks Basic Hospitality Standards Our recent stay at Aizawl Guest House was extremely disappointing. It's not that the staff were outright rude, but rather that they seemed to have no understanding of what hospitality entails. Opening a guest house--whether in Aizawl, Mumbai, or anywhere else--requires more than just government certification. It requires dedication to learning, improving, and training staff to provide a welcoming experience. After four years, we traveled to Aizawl specifically to spend quality family time. I spent over a month researching accommodation options and eventually chose this place based on room photos and reviews, selecting the family suite, which appeared to be their best offering. From the moment we arrived on a Sunday, issues began: Delayed Check-in: We waited almost 45 minutes because the staff couldn't find the room key. There was no apology or acknowledgment of the inconvenience. Unprepared Room: Though we paid extra to accommodate four guests, the room lacked sufficient towels and blankets. A booking made weeks in advance should have ensured proper preparation. No Basic Information Provided: At check-in, we received no details about breakfast timing, Wi-Fi access, or other essential information. Water Leakage: On our second day, it rained and water leaked through the walls and floor--clearly an ongoing issue. We initially cleaned it ourselves before housekeeping finally stepped in. Repeated Room Change Requests: On the third day, a staff member asked us to move to a smaller room due to "repairs." We explained the smaller room wouldn't suit our family and that we had only two days left. Double Booking Pressure: Later that evening, another staff member insisted we move because the room was double-booked. We declined again, citing our prior full payment and their error. Final Straw: The next morning, we were pressured again. When we stood our ground, we were told to either move or accept a refund and leave. Feeling unwelcome and stressed, we opted to be refunded for the final night and checked out early. Even the manager and owner failed to communicate respectfully, which reflected poorly on the entire operation. If those in charge lack basic courtesy, one can't expect better from the rest of the team.

The cleanest and well furnished rooms so far. Even more so than Arini. The views are awesome. The room designs make full use of the views. Helpful staff. Overall a really nice place to laze around. For what you pay, it's worth it especially when it rains.

Date- December 2024 Room-A steep flight of stairs to reach small room with good view with very very smelly bathroom with no proper outlet of the washbasin water. Free breakfast- worst breakfast I have ever had from any hotel. They even provide contaminated food like rotis & veggies of previous days along with rude behaviour of the cook. Location: slightly outskirt from the main city..need Rs.200/- around to reach the hotel with steep road by city taxis. Behaviour: allover behaviour is good.

My family and I stayed at the Aizawl Guest House from 28th November to 2nd December 2024, and I must say, it has been a fantastic experience for all of us - away from the hustle and bustle of the busy city. They arranged an extra bed as soon as we asked for it. Thank you for the amazing service and tbh, we really felt a good homely vibe. Room service was excellent as well the food! I'll remember your thalis for a long time!
