Living Roof Shillong- Hotel & Cafe

We stayed at The Living Roof for 2 nights in the month of April. Location wise it's just perfect and the hotel and rooms look exactly as shown in the image! The rooms are well maintained and clean and are extremely aesthetic. They have their own cafe in the ground floor and serves amazing food. We have tried their pasta, hot chocolate, chicken and prawn noodles, garlic chicken and we loved everything! And if you're a pet lover, then it's the best place for you as you get to cuddle their furry babies. Now coming to the service, they were truly the best. We were two women travelling in Meghalaya and we had some issues with our sightseeing cab. The owners themselves came forward and helped us a lot to resolve the issue. The staff is extremely polite, prompt with their service, cordial and helpful. It was overall a memorable stay and we came back with some wonderful memories. Kudos to the team of Living Roof for their hardwork. Would love to visit and stay again!

We had a great time staying 4 nights at this place. The hosts (Ankitji and his wife) are extremely friendly and guided us with the trip and also arranged a driver for us. The Manager (Biswajit) is also kind and courteous. The rooms are comfy, even if they are a bit small. The in-house kitchen serves delicious food! There were private programs musical programs also happening on 2 of the days - my wife and daughter also sang songs on one of the days for fun!

We stayed at Living Roof Hotel for three days and had a wonderful experience. The staff were incredibly sweet and adjusting, always making sure we felt comfortable and taken care of. The atmosphere was cozy and welcoming. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a pleasant stay!

Manager Biswajit is very kind and cooperative. He obliged and helped us get better accommodation. He manages the front desk well and guides the guests very efficiently. 5 stars for the management.

The hotel was located in a great place but the service was not up to the mark. The rooms were nice but our washroom had some defects. It is more of a restaurant than a hotel so they had some shortcomings in that way. Otherwise had a nice stay. We booked 2 family rooms where easily 4 can stay. Would definitely recommend because the place was very nice for the price.

Despite our late arrival, they provided us with food and facilitated a smooth check-in process, which was much appreciated. The food was excellent - fresh, well-prepared, and enjoyable. Our stay at this hotel was fine, but the service and management were absolutely terrible. We had booked our stay with breakfast included, but on the first morning, when we were about to leave for our trip, the manager seemed completely unaware of this. Breakfast wasn't ready at all. Only after we mentioned that it was part of our booking did they start preparing it. There was no basic breakfast like bread, butter, or toast available. Instead, they quickly made poha, which tasted awful, along with puri-sabji and omelet. The dining area was unhygienic, with dirty tables that hadn't been cleaned. It was clear that no proper arrangements had been made for guests. The management was extremely poor, and the lack of organization made the experience frustrating. I would definitely not recommend staying here.

The living roof hotel & cafe it located at city centre and most of the place can be reached within a few minutes. The hotel staff are very friendly and co-operative.the room are so clean.the Manager specially Mr.Biswajit is very hardworking. The food at cafe was delicious
