Rishatsngi Resort

We stayed there for a day looking at the reviews. I wonder how they are at 4.2 rating. Why should it be called a resort in the first place? Don't take your kids there are they might get overwhelmed after seeing a danger sign near a broken slide and swing. The room service is awful. They don't answer and if you ask something you don't get it until you loose your patience. Power cuts are at peak. Food is extremely overpriced and not that great either. We can eat at a much better restaurant for the price they charge. And the breakfast that comes with stay is tasteless. No options at all. Cost cutting can be seen in the food. Why charge so much for rooms of you can't give good service and food? Its barely an accommodation with good nature around it. They are cheating people calling it a resort. Not worth at all.

Had the most amazing time at their restaurant. The food was drool-worthy, the service was impeccable and the ambience was cosy with a pretty view of the lake, with good clean bathrooms. Special mention to their female staff who promptly helped when i told i had an unexpected visit from the Red Lady and they went out of their way to make me makeshift pads coz none of the nearby pharmacies were open due to Good Friday. I ll be visiting again...and again.

Had wonderful stays at Rishatsngi Resort Umiam twice. The ambience is serene and cool. Rooms are wood paneled and has a old world charm. Service of staff is very good and food is awesome. Shall definitely come back in future.

Just near the Umiam lake. The location is amazing. You can enjoy a meal with the view of the lake. Very clean. Staff is polite and helpful. We tried both chicken and pork. However chicken turned out to be better. But burnt garlic chicken fried rice topped it all. Do try it!

a stunning location near Umiam Lake, offering a peaceful and spacious setting. The staff is polite, and the place is well-maintained. However, the overall experience is disappointing. The food is below average, and service is quite slow. A major downside is the frequent power cuts with no backup, making it stuffy and uncomfortable, especially during lunch. Payment is another hassle, as card transactions often fail due to poor network connectivity, and there's no Wi-Fi available. While the view is great, the dining experience leaves much to be desired.

Fantastic location . The food is is really great . We stayed two nights on 25th and 26th April 2025 . The negatives are (1) frequent power outages in the night and (2) the non AC room in which we stayed ( excellent room with balcony ) has a ceiling fan fixed very high and away from the beds . The room was hot . We requested for a pedestal fan .The Manager said that they do not have one. The behaviour if the Manager with customer needs improvement .

Spacious room, clean environment, a tiny park for kids to play and lovely view of the lake. The food was good but it could have been amazing if they had a separate menu which served the local cuisine. The breakfast was also ok! I felt the rooms was a little expensive compared to other resorts as it was nothing special, iv been to better places with this price. However, we loved the hospitality, the staff is very helpful and cordial and they know how to treat their guests. Also the wifi connectivity was limited i hope they can fix this for the cottages which were located away from the reception area.

The location is beautiful, however the service is extremely slow. We had to wait more than an hour for food to arrive after ordering. Interestingly the delay did not seem unusual to them! The food did not do the justice, it was less than average. Overall, a great view which you can watch from outside. I may not be visiting the restaurant again.
