Laitkynsew Resort

Very average and sad. Look anf feel stating there feels haunted. Rooms are big, bathrooms are clean, but in this humid and rainy weather they do not have anything to combat moistness inside the rooms. All bedsheets and linen feel very moist all the time. Floors are moist. They cut off daily at around 8 pm and then you will be in dark until morning 9am. Cant charge fon. If you tell them to switch on genset, they will not. Food is less than average. Not at all good. Too oily and tasteless. They do not have 80% things from the menu they show. For breakfast only bread jam and egg is there. We had to buy dinner from outside to acoid eating from here. Girls at reception understand english to the point what they want to take care of. Rest they ignore. Lights inside whole hotel is too dim and all your holiday feels are gone. They have gaps in windows and hence in evening crores of monsoon mosquitos will keep entering your room. They have gaps under all the doors and mosquitos and big keede creep in from under the door which is very scary. Our room was full of mosquitos and creepers. Roof of room is purely made of teen. When it rains, you cant sleep, cant talk because of the loud sound. Haven't seen like this anywhere. Water gathers in lobby after rain and no one bothers to clean. Spoils the complete experience of your relaxing days. This stay completely spoiled my vacation spirit and mood.

We stayed in this resort during the christmas time and it was one of the best parts of out trip to Meghalaya.|1. Very well maintained rooms|2. The view from the balcony is simply superb. Especially the sunset|3. Staff are very polite and courteous|4. Closer to the double decker bridge

Nice cozy place. This is a small resort with 6 rooms and a dorm. Rooms are nicely laid out, hot water available. The staff is super helpful. Thank you for your hospitality and making our stay memorable. If you are planning to visit the double decker root bridge, then this place is the best choice. The rooms have the Bangladesh view as well.

We recently booked 2 rooms at Laitkynsew Resort for a one-night stay on January 27th, 2024. The staff at the hotel was incredibly friendly, and the owner personally took care of our guests. The property is perfect for nature lovers and ideal for those visiting the Double Decker living root bridge. The food was excellent, the rooms were comfortable, and the views of Bangladesh from the resort were breathtaking. We highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a memorable stay

Stayed here twice now. It's located in an idyllic village. The deluxe and the executive rooms are the ones with balconies with a view of the Bangladeshi plains. The view is amazing! You can see the border from here as well. There are common balconies as well, and a small room on the top that offers near panoramic views of the valley. Quite close to double decker root bridge trek. They have a dining area near the reception, food is quite good. You can walk around in the area, orange laden trees and lots of flowering plants, the people are friendly as well.

We stayed in Executive Suite for 3 nights in March 2024. The stay was very comfortable, the room had all the basic amenities like geyser, kettle, to keep us warm during low temperatures. The food was very tasty and we were served freshly cooked food always. The breakfast too was nice. The view from the balcony was amazing, a river and then Bangladesh border (there is a small grave yard near the property, but none of the rooms face that side, so nothing to worry about) We being Maharashtrians, were surprised to have Suji Halwa (rvaa shiraa), exactly the way we have it in our homes. The only two probles are mobile connectivity esp for Jio and that the place is away from the main town, city center. Lastly, the staff and the owner were super helpful, polite, courteous and we enjoyed our stay. The place is just 5 to 6 kms from the starting point of The Double Root Tree Bridge Trek.

Very beautiful resort, well managed & clean with king size rooms. We had a very comfortable & homely stay enjoying the delicious breakfast. Very quick & prompt service. Truly enjoyed your stay.

I did not stay here but visited for meals. The food was nice. Home like. The ladies at the resort were very sweet. The village is truly peaceful - lovely at night. Very polite people.
