Tampha Hotel

No western toilets in most rooms. Hope they will upgrade.

The first thing that attracted me this hotel was the hospitality of the staf. The place is accessible, not very far away from places you want to visit and overall a comfortable stay. There is room and services are very good and very helping staf.

Cheap. Clean. Comfortable. Located at the centre of the city with good communications to all the prominent places. Though heater not working in my room. The hotel didn't solve the problem in six days. But they made hot water available whenever i needed.

The Hotel has all the necessary facilities that a rational person would need for a stay. Decent quality of customer service here is also worth mentioning. However to my experience the place is so congested everywhere. You don't get to feel that spacious living here. Overall it's reliable and good.

I feel sorry on the way but at the time of arriving in this hotel I feel very comfortable and the service also very good for me.

A good place to stay overnight if you are travelling onward as it is located close to the bus stands. It is not a tourist friendly place and is a decent place for a quick getaway for solo travellers. The menu lists a lot of items of which only a few are available and room service is extremely slow.|

We stayed in this hotel as a part of our trip of the North East. ||Imphal and Manipur do not seem to be hot destinations for tourists at all. We seemed to be the only tourists around! In fact, the locals kept asking us why we were there! There were armed trucks patrolling the streets at half-hour intervals with AK47s drawn! But that did not faze the locals, who went about their work as if it was normal! The streets emptied out after dark, though.||The Tampha Hotel is mainly used by overnight travellers as a halting point on their onward journies. It has an advantage as it is situated right in front of the bus stands. ||We had asked for an extra bed or mattress for our room, which was agreed to by the people at reception after consulting their 'boss'. Later, however, they refused to give the mattress, as their 'super-boss' had not given them permission for it! We were willing to pay extra for it, but to no avail! We did not move out because our son was ill.||They have a long list of food on the room service menu (there is no restaurant in the hotel) but most of it is not available. Simple stuff like noodles were not available. So we settled for whatever was available - luckily it was good! Room service takes ages to come through, so it is advisable to order whatever you want at one go.||The room could not be cleaned on the first day as the housekeeping guy was 'absent'. On the second day, the sheets were not changed for the same reason!||Oh, you have to go to the Reception to make a phone call, the intercoms in the rooms are not connected to the outside world.||On the whole, an okay hotel if you are someone who is pleased with the minimum requirements!

The facilities were good except for the bed n pillow it was a little hard to sleep on... Other than that everything was good
