Youth Hostel

Best place in Imphal if your traveling low budget. Dorm bed for 160 rupees/night. Don't expect any luxury though and place is kinda filthy here and there but beds are comfortable and with muskitonets. They serve good and affordable simple local food also. One thing I found a little annoying is that the gate closes at 8pm so you have to be back before which is too early if you ask me.

It's a beautiful place to stay. Located in the heart of city. Rooms a descent, very kind and friendly manager and staff, food is reasonable. Recommended for budget travelers. Rs. 160 for dormetry and Rs 500 for private room.

He provided local guide book, that really helpful for me, as traveller in Manipur. - It's mess breakfast was satisfactory, comparable to dinner. - We have to come back by 8 pm, before it's main gate close.

So friends here's a quick description of the scenario is in the hostel for any fellow traveller , the hospitality in the hostel is an absolute bummer. People especially the staff excluding the manager and the security are racist and treat you so poorly sometimes even lesser than a human being. Sure this review might feel like an exaggeration but any traveller who's been on the road long enough would understand what it means to get a bad impression of a place and the people surrounding you. Anyhow accommodation is cheap the dorm is 160 and the rooms 500 with two beds. The common bathrooms have never seen cleaning since it was constructed the forms are also poorly maintained, also they have mosquitos and bedbugs. My whole review might seem quite extreme but if it's not convincing please go try it out yourself. I hope this review was helpful to all my weary yet optimistic travellers ,don't go and stay there unless your super broke like I was and if you do you know what to expect.

Review of youth hostel , Imphal coming up.||||1. Reservation : You have to mail them in advance and they don't have a website for that . You just have to call them and take the email id to book. So 1/5 star.||2. Location : This hostel can be easily spotted and is present near transit camp of Assam rifles and near Sports stadium . So 5/5 star.||3. Rooms : I stayed in dormitory and it was ok ok clean . The washrooms are horrible but looking at the price of Rs 150 per day per bed , thats ok . They should improve their washrooms. So 3/5 star||4. Food : You have to book lunch/dinner in advance (like 6 hours before) and the food is 150 per plate (little costly acc. to quality).||5. Staff : The staff is friendly and the current manager is an ex-army guy. So he will help you.||||Overall Verdict:||Given the price , I would love to stay here again but they should really need to take care of washrooms. ||Overall Rating : 3.5/5

At 160 rupees for dormitory and 500 for single room. This place is not only pocket friendly, but the place is spacious and the staffs are very polite and humble. The best place to be that people need to know rather than splurging your money in hotels that offer nothing more than a tight compartment

A really good value for the price. The private room was 300rp the dorm 60rp. The double room was very basic, but absolutely clean with attached western toilet. There is no hot water, but for this price it's understandable. The mattress in the room was more comfortable than other more expensive places. The bus station and the fort are in walking distance. Recommended for people on tight budget, this place offers a lot for its price.

You get a very clean, safe (that really matters in Manipur), centrally located stay at very affordable price here. They have single rooms and dormitories. The gates close at sharp 8 pm. Bazar is at just 5 mins distance, from where you can get connecting transport to all other corners of the city/state.||Overall, very good place.
