Ekunj

I always prefer homestay instead of hotels and Ekunj is a perfect example of why I prefer homestay. I came to Imphal for 2 weeks but my stay got extended by another 3 weeks. So overall Ekunj had been a perfect home for me for around a month. The place is awesome with spacious and well ventilated rooms along with all amenities like geyser, a kitchen to cook(if you prefer). It is maintained really well by the owner - Mr Anand and the caretaker takes care of all small things on your request too. Anand had been a great and really welcoming host. The place is famous too so any private cab and food delivery person can reach without additional guidance of the location. The place is so green that one would love to stay longer. I would highly recommend Ekunj if you are in Imphal.

Ekunj is an excellent location , very close to tourist attractions and the airport, all within 10-15 mins rickshaw drive. Andro village is 40 mins drive from his place. Rooms are very well made and clean. Homestay has a beautiful backyard with bamboo trees perfect to chill and unwind. What more, it has a cafe right inside its space which serves delicious food at a very reasonable price. Kitchen is accessible to all where you can cook a nice meal. Andy is an amazing host and super sweet. I wanted to experience Manipuri cuisine and he was gracious enough to offer it complimentary. What more, he invited to experience one of the most important events for them - the Cheiroba festival where he served lip smacking traditional food. Highly recommend this homestay for your stay in imphal.

EKunj, is home, You will always feel welcomed, warm, well fed and i mean it - exceptional Manipuri cusine, centrally located, but yet in a ten minute drive one could be at the foothills of majestic mountains and then climb up the hills and have the most beautifula and panaramic view of the Imphal valley. ||Andy is a great host who will make you comfortable and has an encycolpedia knowledge of the history, culture, society, politics and cusine of Manipur. A real treat.

Ekunj Homestay was a lovely stay at Imphal. Our host Anand himself is a travel enthusiast just like us. We were sharing various places that we had travelled. Ekunj has a variety of plants..herbs and flowering plants. You can sight a variety of birds behind the cute kitchenette... The stay was very comfortable and Bijaya made lovely omlettes and Aloo paranthas for breakfast.

Absolute homely experience away from home. I enjoyed my 9 days stay here at Ekunj. The host is a travel enthusiast who runs this property as his pet project. I was privileged enough to travel for the Hornbill festival with the host Anand. Everything in the homestay is built on a sustainable model and you won't find any plastic, furniture is wooden. The caretaker Addison will make sure you feel home and even laundry is available at a very affordable price. Swiggy and Zomato deliver here and nearby there are small hotels to eat.

"Excellent place to stay at Imphal" Everything about the place is good. A must stay place for single/couples just looking for some calm and serenity. The owner Mr. Andy was very nice, cordial and welcoming. The food was delicious. The standard of cleanliness deserves a thumbs up. You will find so many varieties of plants in the property itself.

Spacious room and neat kitchen but for those who hate cooking, a two minute walk to a restaurant. Had a wonderful experience at Govindajee temple during evening worship and prayers, which is very close to Ekunj. Good furnitures, very clean, all amenities provided. Will stay again if we ever visit Imphal again ||There are ponds right outside in the garden with lots of lotus flowers. A beautiful sight both inside and out. Once you step outside the house, there are lots of greenery and bamboo trees in the beautiful garden. Great place to relax, chill and unwind. All the windows overlook the garden which is full of greenery.||Great place to relax, chill and unwind, one will not be disappointed for sure. ||For those visiting Imphal, stay here at Ekunj, highly recommended.

Excellent location! Rooms are spacious and very neat. We had a great time staying at Ekunj. Lots of greenery around the house, with a nice orchard. The host Mr. Anand is extremely helpful and jovial. Had the best mangoes from their garden. Highly recommended!
