The Sal Tree Resort By Vihasta Kanha

Don't trust the reviews, property is in serious bad condition. The staff is trying its best to manage but badly failing at it. Pathetic hygiene, Bed sheet, covers and blankets are old and doesn't seem to be clean. We didn't try food , as options were limited. There's mold in washroom. No soaps were provided, without asking. We even had to ask to clean the room and toilet despite being late and informing them. There was power outage fod hours in the evening. They had inverter but it was not working properly. There's no network on airtel. Property doesn't have full wifi coverage, so TV doesn't work. Staff literally asked me to connect the tv to my phone's hotspot. Pro's- it's really close to mukki gate. Rooms are spacious. It can accommodate 5 people comfortably. Property is beautiful and serene. You'll feel calm if power outages and poor hygiene won't bother you. Staff is courteous and polite. They're trying their best . If you're on a budget and not expecting much then you can try this resort, else stay away . Tip: if you wish to have homely and budget meals, you can fund options in Baihar, which is 12 km from property. We had dinner in Vikas bhojanalay, which was very affordable and tasty, and for breakfast we tried a stall in Baihar, which served home cooked breakfast ( Sitaram something was the name ), it was really really tasty.

We had an amazing stay at The Sal Tree during our visit to Kanha Tiger Reserve. The location was very close (<5mins) to the Mukki gate. They even helped in arranging a last minute safari. The rooms were really nice, clean and comfy. The staff was friendly, respectful and super helpful. Amazing service! They arranged for bonfire too. Food was delicious in every meal we had. Highly recommend and we will definitely stay here on our next Kanha visit as well.

The stay here was nice, but the management was too under qualified to serve guests, the staff were supportive but the manager had us on our nerves. There were a lot of missing ends in service, the food was very okayish, and service too. You could not get ice cubes, or something if not ordered prior 1-2 hrs. It would definitely ruin someone's holiday moood. Please avoid visiting if you're not in a mood to argue on everything and have a chaotic conversation on your holiday.

Nice place... with good food and service.. Raj Sahu ji always looks out over every customer and provides the best service as possible. Rooms have window view beds that feels cozy. Rooms and Bathrooms are clean. Overall go go place in budget.

My stay at sal tree was truly exceptional! The staff were incredibly welcoming and accommodating, going above and beyond to ensure a comfortable experience. The rooms were spotless, modern, and well-equipped with everything needed for a relaxing stay. The location was perfect, within walking distance of major attractions and offering easy access. The breakfast buffet had a wide variety of delicious options, and the overall ambiance was both stylish and serene. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting kanha national park. I had visited Kanha on dec 14th. And stayed here for a night.. the resort is one of the few budget options available near mukki gate...rooms are spacious... the hospitality was great and the food was also good... Would definitely recommend this place if you plan a stay in mukki.. the sal tree resort is very close to mukki gate around 1km as well... i injoy in this resort !!!

The manager is very good here, he's done a great job at room service and he also arranged for gypsy on time. Overall an awesome experience, highly recommend to everyone
