Subject: Feedback on ID Proof Policy - Suggestion for Better Clarity Dear front desk manager, I recently stayed at your hotel and wanted to share a concern regarding the check-in process, with the hope that it may help improve guest experience in the future. Upon arrival, I was informed that original ID proof was mandatory for check-in. However, your policy only mentioned "ID proof," which typically suggests that a photocopy or digital version is acceptable. Due to this lack of clarity, I faced an unexpected delay and had to spend over 1.5 hours resolving the situation to produce the original document. This not only caused significant inconvenience but also disrupted my schedule. I respectfully suggest updating your policy wording to clearly state "original ID proof required" wherever applicable--on booking platforms, confirmation emails, and at the reception. Really had a peaceful stay. The room was quite adequate for a couple with child. Clean bathrooms and restaurant available for food. The staff was also friendly. Auto stand available directly opposite to the hotel. It's a 3 min ride to Vadakkumnadhaan temple.

We stayed at the Ashoka Inn in Thrissur for three nights leading up to Christmas Eve. We had a very comfortable stay in a well-appointed room. The staff at reception (including the doorman) were pleasant, courteous and helpful.|We really enjoyed the Emperor restaurant located on the first floor of the hotel. We had a very enjoyable dinner on two nights there. The food was well-prepared and delicious with a wide choice on the menu. The buffet breakfast (which we had on three mornings) was also very good with multiple choices, and a live counter for freshly made omelettes and various dosas/appams. The restaurant staff including the manager Mr Prajoth (not sure if I have spelt that right!) were polite, helpful and friendly.|Overall we had a good time there and would certainly stay there again with pleasure.

The front desk managers were extremely rude and unaccommodating. They insisted on original physical ID cards for every guest and refused to accept digital or photocopied versions. If you've booked for five people, all five must be physically present with their original ID cards at the time of check-in--otherwise, they won't allow you to check in at all. The room conditions were terrible. There were bed bugs in my bed, and overall cleanliness was severely lacking. I would not recommend this hotel based on my experience.

It is like a home away from home for us. We have been staying regularly for about 2 weeks every year for the last 15 years or more. Food is excellent. Rooms are very clean. Staffs are very courteous and polite. We are looking forward to our next stay in Ashoka Inn

Stayed at Ashoka Inn, Thrissur, and unfortunately, it was a disappointing experience. The hotel feels outdated, and while walking on the floor, it felt shaky, which was quite unsettling. The bed was uncomfortable, making it hard to get a good night's sleep.||The restaurant service was terrible--waited 40 minutes for food, only to receive the wrong order because the staff forgot to place it in the first place. However, the breakfast buffet was decent, probably because it was self-service.||On the positive side, the hotel has ample parking and is in the city center, which is convenient. But if you're visiting on a weekend with events happening, avoid staying on the 4th floor--the noise levels were unbearable.

A hotel with good comfortable rooms. Overall a nice experience during our stay there. Well mannered staff and affordable prices.

Good experience staying at Ashoka Inn. The property is well maintained and very conveniently located in the heart of the town. The best part is their service. Absolutely top notch. Right from the front office to the restaurant staff, every member of their team was very friendly and impeccable in their service. Special mention about the Restaurant manager, who is a star in his own right. Very pleasing and helpful. Overall a very pleasant experience staying at Ashoka Inn. Thank you.
