We visited this restaurant for lunch around 2:15 PM. Usually, vegetarian restaurants offer a choice between white and brown rice, but the server informed us that brown rice had run out. Since we had already paid, we decided to continue with the meal.Unfortunately, the food did not meet our expectations. The side curries lacked flavor, and the payasam was especially disappointing. After the meal, we experienced some gastric discomfort for a few days. While we can't say for certain it was caused by the food, the issues began soon after dining here.Overall, we were quite disappointed, especially since we expected better quality from this place.

Nice hotel. Very clean. Good rooms. Great service. A little expensive for what you get as the rooms are a little small. Not good for business people who have to work and are visiting thr local tourist spots too. But for couples and single tourists.

Amazing rooms , well cleaned and maintained. Loved the view. Food was the best and comforting, felt like home food. Location was also great. Staffs were awesome. The only downside which I would like to add are the windows, as they don't have any protection or grill or an extra layer from the outside which can create potential risk for children to fall from the window while wanting to see the view outside. Other than that, everything about this hotel was great. Would recommend.

I visited this restaurant after a long time, sadly it's medicore at best. I personally disliked the food and the service. I came to get the typical south indian breakfast - masala dosa breakfast and a curd vada but both didn't taste that good. Curd vada was severely overpriced ( 114 rupees for a single curd vada ) and was just the typical vada dunked in curd 2 minutes before serving. Masala dosa was drenched in oil but the filling was okay. It would be advisable to explicitly tell the waiter to use less oil on the dosa. Talking about the chutneys and sambar - sambar is kinda sweet, white and orange chutney are average. They didn't serve the green chutney or the podi without me separately asking. Apparently they ran out of green chutney at 9:30 am... which is sad because that's the only chutney that was good among their offerings.

I live in UK and travelled with friends for pilgrimage to Thiruvananthapuram to visit Anantha Padmanabha Swamy Mandir Ms Sreekutty in the Reception staff was very professional, courteous and helpful Pros of Arya Nivas Hotel : Good location Although on the main and busy road, rooms are not noisy and we could catch good Rest Very close to Train station 2 km to Anantha Padmanabha Swamy temple Authentic and excellent south Indian exclusively vegetarian tiffins and meals (both AC and non AC sections) 2km away from Aryas Park Vegetarian hotel (another restaurant with excellent exclusively south Indian fine section of meals and tiffins) Autos available at the doorstep of Arya Nivas Hotel Good Parking place Medium sized rooms Suggestions : Toilet rolls Hand towel Summary : If the requirements are above for a short stay, I would recommend and I would certainly stay in Arya Nivas in my future visits

They charge Rs 33.33 + Gst for one tea. I don't understand what was that much special in that tea they served. Price list is not displayed. Similar exorbitant charges for other items also. Taste is very very ordinary. Looting at its very best. Please ask for menu card and check prices before ordering. There are other good restaurants with good food and reasonable prices. Even if you pay for autorickshaw for going from this bland restaurant to any other good ones, you can still save money and have good food.

Very bad experience: in the kadai vegetable curry, the vegetables wasn't even cooked properly & the the Ariya Nivas special biriyani had ladies' hair in it. We didn't want to create a scene in front of other customers & show off... We weren't charged for the kadai curry since we returned it. The quality is gone for this restaurant, very devastating...

Please never go to this hotel for food alone. What I felt was that they were charging nearly thrice the price compared to other vegetarian hotels. We ,a family of three , went for an evening tea. The items we purchased were four uzhunnuvadas, one plain dosa, two tea, and one coffee. They charged 355 rupees. I have never such an exorbitant price any where in Trivandrum. One tea costed 33 rupees, one vada costed forty rupees, one plain dosa costed rupees 95. So, please ask for menu card before ordering. The taste was just average. There was a great delay in serving tea. Customers please avoid this looting restaurant. There is no value for money.
