Whitehouse Homestay

I recently stayed here while my official job purpose for a one night stay. Very good neatness, walkable distance to Lakeshore hospital are the advantages. I reached by midnight and by next day afternoon my job was finished, even though the check out time is 12 o clock the caretaker allowed me to stay till evening which was a great releif. The caretaker was a very jovial person. I stayed in a non ac room because the weather was not too hot.

I recently stayed at White House Homestay in Maradu, Kochi, and it was by far the worst homestay experience I've ever had. When booking, the listing clearly advertised an air-conditioned room, yet upon arrival, they denied having AC in the room I had booked. Even after showing them their own listing, they refused to address it. The room itself was extremely unhygienic, with unclean, smelly sheets and a mattress that felt neglected. No toiletries, no towel in the bathroom, wobbly commode. Basic amenities were disappointing--plugs didn't work, and the internet speed was so slow that I had to rely on my own hotspot to write this review. The owner was unhelpful and defensive, blaming me rather than addressing these issues. Unfortunately, I arrived late at 11 PM after a long evening, or else I would've avoided staying here altogether. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone seeking a comfortable and honest experience

I've been there at White House, view of the lake and birds that visits at morning is breathtaking. Foggy and cool at morning and the earthly smell that spreads around the place and river is so unforgettable.
