Me and my family had an incredible stay at Bodhi Beach House. From the moment we arrived, Sushil made us feel completely at home with warm hospitality. He recommended places that we can visit, food we can try and activities we can do. The highlight was definitely the food -- every meal was delicious, home-cooked, and bursting with local flavors. To top it off, the beach is just 100 mtr away (one of the cleanest beach you will ever see), making it the perfect spot for morning strolls and sunset views. We were so lucky to get a booking at Bodhi Beach House during our visit to Kannur this month. We had stayed here five years ago and didn't want to stay anywhere else! As soon as we called Sushil Das, the host, to confirm our booking for two couples, we were excited to see the place again. Sushil gave us a warm welcome and made us feel at home right away. He has added so many nice touches to the place--it's now more colorful, cozy, and relaxing. The positive and peaceful vibes here are amazing! The rooms are cozy, beds are super comfortable, very clean and well-maintained. In the evening, when the lights come on, the whole atmosphere changes--it feels like a dreamy, magical place. We came back with high expectations, and Bodhi Beach House did not disappoint at all! In fact, Sushil has made it even better over the years. We booked two AC rooms, and they were spotless, comfortable, and felt just like home. The best part is the beach is just 100 meters from the stay, making it super easy to go for a walk or spend time by the sea. The authentic Kerala food they serve is delicious, and we got to try some amazing local dishes (Just inform him in advance). Sushil is always available to help and gives great suggestions for places to visit. He makes sure every guest feels comfortable and taken care of. Highly recommend this place--you won't regret it and will take home some wonderful memories! Bodhi is a great stay for travellers looking to unwind near the beach in a quaint town. In the evenings, the courtyard is gently lit with warm yellow bulbs and string lights, creating a cosy atmosphere. The home-cooked food is delicious, and the beach is just a short walk away. Keep in mind, Kannur is not a party destination--this is a simple, relaxed homestay with a welcoming host, Mr Sushil. Ideal for a quiet drink, a good meal, and a book.

I had booked the property for 1 day and ended up staying for 3 nights , that's how amazing the place is! It was such a pleasure staying in this property which is just 50 metres from the beach. Rooms are very clean and spacious. Special mention to the host Mr. Sushil Dass, who is very helpful and guided us to all the best eateries and places to visit around Kannur.

One of the best homestays I've stayed at in India. Great location on the beach, the rooms were lovely and the overall vibe of the place was lovely and chilled. On top of this Sushil, the host, went out of his way to make sure I had a great stay. Would highly recommend for anyone looking for a homestay in or around Kannur.

I recently had the pleasure of spending the last eight days of my travels in India at Bodhi Beach House in Kannur, and it was the most perfect way to end my travels in India. If you love a serene atmosphere, a peaceful retreat, and having a beach almost entirely to yourself, this is the place for you. Bodhi Beach House is a hidden gem--cozy, beautifully designed, and just a stone's throw from the beach. My room was spacious and comfortable, with everything I needed to fully relax. And the beach? Absolutely stunning! It was clean, quiet, and most of the time, completely empty--an absolute dream for long, peaceful walks by the sea. Compared to many beaches in India, this one was incredibly well-maintained, making it an oasis of tranquility. But what truly makes this place special is Sushil. He goes out of his way to ensure every guest is happy, and his warm hospitality made my stay even more memorable. He helped me find an incredible Ayurvedic center, where I started having daily massages--exactly what I needed to unwind after my busy life in the West. I genuinely felt like I could have stayed for a month! Another thing I loved is the location--it's peaceful and away from the crowds, yet just a short 5-10 minute rickshaw ride to town if you need anything. It's the perfect balance of seclusion and accessibility. If you're looking for a place to fully relax, switch off, and reconnect with yourself, I can't recommend Bodhi Beach House enough. I left feeling refreshed, recharged, and already dreaming of coming back.
