Don's River Valley Jungle Resort

I recently spent 2 incredible days at the Dons River Valley Jungle Resort in Marayoor. Our room was neat, clean, and awesome, with a stunning view that set the tone for a relaxing getaway. The staff at the resort were extremely polite, helpful, and went above and beyond to ensure our stay was comfortable. The food was a highlight, with delicious and fresh meals that exceeded our expectations. Overall, I highly recommend the Dons River Valley Jungle Resort for its excellent service, comfortable accommodations, and mouth-watering cuisine. If you're looking for a peaceful retreat amidst nature, this resort is an excellent choice!

We also enjoyed the complimentary breakfast, which offered a variety of delicious options. Overall, we felt so relaxed and rejuvenated after our stay, and we would definitely recommended.

Wow! What an awesome experience. Delicious food, super friendly staff, breathtaking views, lots of activities and amazing ambiance. We stayed for one days and it was an excellent experience that made us extremely happy. We will definitely come again and again whenever we need a perfect getaway!

Had a fantastic stay here. Perfect place for a family get-together. Location is also very near to the central market area. Staff and owner are extremely friendly and supportive. Food was nice. Rooms were clean.

Our experience with Gladson and his family--who either own or manage the resort--was nothing short of a scam. We booked two cottages over the phone at around 4000 each and paid in advance. On the day of check-in, when we called for details, they casually informed us that some other guests had extended their stay and our booking was no longer honored. They claimed they had "lost" our contact information, putting on an Oscar-worthy performance to cover up what was clearly a deliberate overbooking. This was not a mistake--it was blatant cheating. Despite their high Google ratings, they treated us with zero professionalism or integrity. We even went to the original resort in person, hoping for a resolution, but were met with more fake apologies and empty promises. Gladson and his wife tried to manipulate us into moving to another resort, which they had arranged at the last minute. Left with no other choice, we were forced to accept it. This kind of dishonest and unethical behavior is completely unacceptable. Think twice before trusting them with your time, money, or vacation plans--they are not reliable, and they clearly do not value their customers.

Absolutely disappointed with Don's River Valley Resort. We were a group of 24 people, and the way we were treated was appalling. Staff demanded tips right at the gate for carrying luggage. They forced full payment upfront which is very unusual. Worst part -- after trekking, they denied us the fresh-up rooms they had promised, leaving women, kids, and elderly people to manage with just two poorly maintained common toilets. Will never recommend this place.

It felt like a scam. They made us everything upfront and then slowly started cutting down the services they had promised. We were a group of 24 and felt cheated. If you're planning a peaceful vacation with family, skip this place.
