TentMonk Beach Stay & Resort Mangalore

This resort fell far short of expectations. The online photos misrepresented the property. The resort consisted of only two tents for the travellers with leaking roofs during rain. The tents were unclean with cockroaches and unpleasant odors. The weak door locks required makeshift solutions to secure them. Furthermore, the resort lacked an on-site kitchen and basic amenities like towels and soap. Food was delivered from an unhygienic local restaurant by a single caretaker who managed the entire property. The high cost of 6,000 per night did not reflect the value received. To make matters worse, the remote owner was argumentative and unhelpful when concerns were raised. I would strongly advise against staying at this resort.

For the price they are charging the rooms are really bad, the bed is very thin and uncomfortable, there is no soap or towels available unless you ask them for it multiple times. The staff was polite and courteous. Beach is walkable distance, good view

The owner of the resort was kind enough to guide us through the journey and navigated us to the location. He was also very considerate and helped us with our request of early check-in The price of this place is reasonable and the accommodations at tent monk were incredibly cozy and inviting. My room was comfortable, ensuring a restful and enjoyable stay. The beach is very close to the cottages and this gave us the freedom to walk to the beach anytime we felt like it. In conclusion, I wholeheartedly recommend tent monk to anyone seeking a memorable getaway. The exceptional service, stunning scenery, and cute accommodations, make it a truly remarkable destination. Trust me, you won't be disappointed.

The person that works there tried to rip us off, called us later to ask for money for something we didn't even have. When we asked for the bill he just hung up and never called back. The location and the rooms are good. But there are rats in the wall which you will hear all night and day

We did not get to stay in the room for long. Room had all the basic amenities and we freshend up. 200mtrs from the beach, but at the rate at which the sea is consuming the land, I wouldn't be surprised to find this right at the beach in a few years. The hosts are amazing people. Definitely going back to stay with them the next time I'm around the area. They showed us around and we're very friendly. They are on a journey to transform the look and feel of the place and I am excited about the changes they are doing.
