Bobs Beach House

Definitely, not "The Best" place in Gokarna, but worth trying. Additionally, be aware of owners who get drunk at the property and go violent on their residents when they (residents) are on booze.. Read well, stay warned and alert . They are warm and the cutest ones are Maya and Cherry Been a frequent to Gokarna for the past 10 years, this place is new and they are still building..The rooms are clean, service is the best, but you have to be careful here if you choose to opt for liquor..I say this as the partner owners seem to get drunk and violent. . Yes, I share this as part of my story wherein I had approached one of the residents (customer) in the property seeking company, after I had a few beers. I did so as the friend I had been here with fell asleep in our room at night around 1 am. And while there were still people around, I stepped to the resident and asked him gently, "can you give me company". To my shock, this person was with ladies, and this seems to have offended one of the "Drunk" partner owners at Bob's beach house who was indeed very warm and welcoming and still is. But that ver moment turned into an argument where this person named Chetan chose to hit my head with a wooden log (only to find out that nothing affected me), and then forced me and my friend inside a room. They apparently did not want me or my friend to leave as we were on alcohol. Oh, Bdw they also seem to have made a video of me yelling at them when they had locked the door from outside. How safe would you say is to lock a person with anxiety, after he/she is drunk in a room at an unknown place ? Those looking for mental peace, be warned... Honestly, me and my friend were all stable and good. And asking another property resident for company doesn't or shouldn't have invited this.. it only happened because one of these partner owners decided to go violent while being super drunk, because he was under the illusion that I am drunk, while he was higher than his client (myself) Cutting to the end+ I called the cops, and confronted them with what I have written here. They were understanding of the matter, and took up these property owners for questioning later.. We did receive a warm see off the next morning, but this was one experience I have to and must share, so here it is..

I was here for a whole week and it was a lovely experience. The staff is friendly and prompt. The atmosphere here is relaxed and welcoming with live music on the weekends :) The rooms are comfy and the sunsets are unmissable from this place! Couldn't have asked for better company - chethan the host was very friendly and actually helped me have a great time in Gokarna :) he is also a surf instructor with Cocopelli. I took a couple of lessons too! One can really hang out and feel a sense of calm here, there's the cutest dogs - brownie, cherry and maya, the tiniest puppies and a really nimble slinky cat! I was able to digitally detox and get a clear head by just absorbing the vibes of the place :) Love it and can't imagine staying elsewhere in Gokarna! I will definitely be visiting again :)

The photos as shared of the room do not match the reality. Condition of rooms is just pathetic. The old rooms are tin sheet based and are extremely small and get unlivebal in the afternoon. The rooms which they are constructing downstairs are big and unclean. The staff is extremely inhospitable and rude. The good things are the view, restaurant and dogs. Not at all advisable for couples, families. Just bachelors should plan a stay in a place like that.

(5/5) Bob's Beach House is a perfect spot to relax in Gokarna! Great beachfront location, clean rooms, and a peaceful vibe. The staff is friendly, and the food is delicious. Highly recommended for a chill getaway!

Terrible Experience - As google does not allow zero starts i am giving single star. Hotel Cancelled Reservation and Increased Prices I booked a room at this hotel 3 months in advance for a specific price. However, the day before my check-in, I received a call from the hotel stating that the prices had increased, and they were unwilling to honor the original price I had paid. When I expressed my disagreement, the situation only got worse. Upon arrival for check-in the following day, the hotel staff refused to give us the room I had already paid for, claiming that the website I had booked through had no official connection with the hotel. This is clearly deceptive and dishonest behavior, as it was their official pricing listed on the website. It feels like a scam and a breach of trust. It's unacceptable for a hotel to cancel a reservation like this, especially when they've already committed to a price. I would strongly advise against booking with them, as it seems they will change their prices and refuse to honor confirmed reservations. Very disappointing experience.

Extremely disappointing experience. We were told the food would be ready in 15 minutes, but we ended up waiting over an hour--just for curd rice! The service was absolutely unacceptable. The staff seemed indifferent and completely unbothered by the delay, acting like they're running a monopoly where customers don't matter. Honestly, it felt like they didn't care at all. If this is the level of service being offered, maybe it's better to shut down the restaurant and consider doing business elsewhere--perhaps in a fish market. Truly one of the worst dining experiences I've had.

WORST EXPERIENCE WHICH RUINED MY FIRST TRIP...... These people they act like innocent but they won't....they charged me for rooms and they haven't given rooms in the day of arrival simply says that it's not them who accepted booking.....How horrible it is when you are going to a new place and not getting a place to stay .....They are the number one scammers when we discussed with the local people even they simply says it's very common here....Whoever got the room it's that they are blessed as they weren't scammed by them ...they refunded my amount after multiple calls messages after a month and still around 2700/- pending from them which they aren't responding.....Every business will run on how truthful they are and KARMA will give it back to you people just wait for it.....They are so many beach stays available beside this .. whoever reading my review consider those properties instead of this one.. It's we today but someday you will face 100 times of what we faced on that day....

I recently had stayed at Bob's Beach House in Gokarna, and I must say, it was an unforgettable experience! The moment we stepped into the property, we knew we were in for a treat. The beach house is beautifully designed, with spacious rooms, comfortable beds, and breathtaking views of the ocean. They don't have geyser yet the manager of property arranged for hot water.
