Property is great, constructed using traditional clay walls and clay roofs in a farmland. Owner also serves tasty home cooked foods. I would like to add my observations to increase guest satisfaction: One room is at the ground floor, three rooms are on first floor, so helper should be there to carry luggage on iron staircase to first floor rooms. Clay Roofs on first floor were hot in February evening, ceiling fans should be there in all rooms. Please arrange atleast one side table near beds. In bathroom, mirror above washbasin and exhaust fan with insect jali on windows should be there. Keep Toilet paper, Towels, soaps in cupboard, what if someone is needed but not carrying these things? If possible arrange Electrical points and Switches properly, so guests should not guess and keep everything ON. Basic amenities and services can make ordinary properties looks great.

We are frequent visitors to Banashankari temple, visiting once a year. Fortunately we found this stay very near to the temple approximately at a distance of 2 kms. The property is relatively new, built on a farm land with 3 independent cottages and rooms inside the owner's house. We stayed in a cottage with a queen bed and a bunk bed!! The cottage is not too spacious but the space is well utilized. The cottages have no AC as of now but during summer, the area becomes so hot that AC becomes a necessity. The hosts and their service is the unique selling point of this stay. Manjunath and his family are highly courteous. They prepare sumptuous homely breakfast and dinner. I recommend this stay very near to Banashankari temple. very convenient to travel and reasonable pricing.
Our visit to Dharini homestay was an absolute delight. From the moment we arrived, we felt a warm and welcoming vibe that made the place feel like a home away from home. The hospitality of the owner couple was exceptional. They were incredibly polite, friendly, and attentive, ensuring that all our needs were met with a smile. It's rare to come across such genuine care and thoughtfulness in service. The food was a standout feature of our stay. Every meal from the homemade dinner to the breakfast and coffee was delicious, fresh, and prepared with love. It truly felt like we were eating a wholesome, homemade meal, which added to the charm of the experience. The rooms were spotless and well-maintained, reflecting the couple's attention to detail. The neatness and cleanliness were impressive, providing a comfortable and relaxing environment for us to unwind. Lastly, the service was impeccable Whether it was addressing small requests or ensuring we were comfortable throughout our stay. Overall, this homestay is a perfect blend of comfort, cleanliness, and hospitality. It's an ideal choice for anyone looking for a cozy, home-like place to stay with great food and wonderful hosts. We highly recommend it and look forward to returning!
We stayed at Dharani in the last week of December. Manjunath and his family were excellent hosts. They did their best to make sure all requests were accommodated despite having a toddler to care for. The food we were served was the best we tasted in Badami, Aihole and Pattadakkal. We woke up to the sounds of peacocks and were told some could be spotted about a km from the property if one strolls towards the hills. The property is close enough to the important sights but far enough to be away from the bustling crowds. Highly recommended stay for those travelling with families and the elderly.
This homestay is excellent place to stay. Very neat and clean. Service is excellent. Home made food is too delicious. Property owner is very kind and cooperative.I enjoyed the stay. Family was caring and loving. I will like to stay here again.
We had a wonderful stay here recently. The accommodation is in a serene and quiet farm setting. You get to hear the insects and birds, and see the starry sky at night. Having said that, it's quite accessible and within a couple of hundred meters from the main road (slight drawback is that access is through a mud road). Badami caves are around a 10 min drive, pattadakal is around 25 min drive. We stayed in a cottage which has a veranda to relax in the evening (although the mosquitoes will spoil the fun). The cottage has a huge window next to the bed to look out while relaxing. The loft with a bed and glass windows was fun. We didn't get to explore the farm, not sure if that's possible. The main house (the individual rooms are likely in there) has a beautiful courtyard which is where the meals are served. Probably the best part of the entire stay is the yummy homemade food with local specialties like akki roti, paddu. The homemade gourd chutney is the best. Sambar rice and curd rice were so good. The hosts feed you with a lot of love till you're full. The hosts are a lovely family, and running the home stay by themselves. There's a lot of care and attention to detail from the hosts towards the house, cottages and the upcoming compact "bullock cart" rooms, not to mention the clean and yummy food. For example, the cottages have collapsible insect screens both for the front door, and the window. A couple of things to note: There will be a few insects as the home stay is in a farm. The property is secured with an electric fence in the night (after bedtime) so you need to be careful not to touch that (and keep kids away from it). Overall, we found the place so nice this was a highlight of our trip to Badami, and would like to return to stay here again.
We were quite lucky to find and book this homestay for 2 days. The location is beautiful with plantation around. The rooms are priced reasonable. Rooms spacious neat and clean. The food served was proper authentic from homely grown vegetables. We recommend one must surely opt for if someone looking for good food and stay. Above all the hospitality was very good. We would love to come back. Keep it up Manjunath.
It's absolutely away from city shores in the nature with beautiful sunrise view and typical old style home with all modern facilities. There are few cottage and some house on wheels... or bullcart. Very amazingly planned & executed. Also they have delicious lip smacking breakfast & dinner which is local home style. Hosts are also very helpful... we stayed here almost for 1 complete night and 2nd half day. Also they arranged auto for sightseeing. It was economical. I would definitely recommend if anyone looking for stay at Badami then this is the right place.
