Hotel Emerald

The location of this hotel is fab and so are the staff. However, faced quite a lot of disturbance due to fellow visitors who were quite loud and rowdy. Though there was hardly anything the staff could do to identify rowdy customers, but promptly handling them would have been really helpful. The room service was a bit delayed and also the cutlery provided was quite shabby and mostly had turned yellow. That was a turn-off. Overall, the hotel is budget friendly and can be chosen if location and budget are your priorities.

It was a horrible experience. We checked in late night while travelling long and Ranchi was the realistic option to stay overnight. We checked in by 1 o clock in the night and we got a room in which the Ac and the geyser didn't work. It was so late and we couldn't complain to anyone and we somehow we adjusted till morning. The staff is so carefree and doesn't really give a damn. Zero maintenance in the whole property. Pathetic experience.

Seeing the good comments here. I feel like you guys a really lucky or its just fake reviewing. I had stayed in this hotel on March 2nd. Pathetic rooms, cleanliness is zero. AC is there in rooms as a show piece lol AC, Geaser nothing works. Don't even try their breakfast its so bad chai was still okay. I had made a complaint to the manager about the AC and geaser. His reply was like sir switch is working. Geaser might work too Come on dude railway station lodge is better than your 3 star junk hotel.

The rooms are little spacious. However, for the price, this hotel is an average. Food is okay, outside the room area, lobby, the lift are old now. Unless we ask the housekeeping does not clean the room. Overall I would say it is 3 out of 5.

According to the property's policy, we were supposed to check in around 2 PM. However, due to our travel schedule, we arrived and checked in at around 12:15 AM--a change I had already communicated to the hotel via email. Upon arrival, the receptionist mentioned that we were given executive rooms, but when we went up, we found the rooms in a filthy state. After bringing this to their attention, they moved us to a different room. My group managed to settle into two rooms, but then the air conditioner in my room wasn't working. We were forced to change rooms again and, unbelievably, they took us back to one of the same dirty rooms we initially rejected. They claimed it had been cleaned at 1:30 AM, but it was far from acceptable. The entire property is poorly maintained. Rooms are not cleaned properly, the bathrooms are dirty, and using the toilet feels like standing in a sewage system due to the foul smell. The linens were not fresh either--what were supposed to be white sheets were so old and stained they appeared brown. This was, by far, the worst hotel experience I've ever had. I would not recommend this place to anyone, not even to my worst enemies. Avoid at all costs!

We have booked the hotel via online for 3 adults. The room promised was not given. The room was too small for three beds. There was no space to move at all.. the extra bed was laid on the floor without any stand as per the standard hotels. The bedsheets were not clean.. stains and marks everywhere.. When asked for basic toiletries it was not available.. geyser was not working.. bathroom shower was not working..not worth the price paid.. better not to opt this pathetic hotel.. the manager is not helpful and rude.. while checking out the manager was not available to provide the bill..

Even though I booked executive room, I received normal room where cupboards are broken condition. Later they changed to executive room, but switch boards are not working viz bed lights, switch board casing open condition, wash basis dust stopper cap open condition, chairs not clean, again shifted to another room.. I can rate average only. Will never recommend to anybody in future. Worst part is asking advance payment and before check in demanding for final payment wide mail. We r working in corporate company and never faced such payment issues

The room offered though mentioned on MMT as 270 sq ft what we were offered was hardly a 140 sq ft room.. Geyser was not working.. And there was no space for extra bed.. For the price paid, there are much better options in Ranchi.. Either MMT has no check on the hotels rooms what are being offered or the person at reception is taking customers for a ride.. For any explanation asked he is using the phrase 'ask MakeMyTrip' Avoiding the hotel is the best choice if booked through MMT..
