FLB Resorts Jerry's Jungle Huts

This isn't a hotel. Its a farm. Our room was excellent with clean linen. They have three dogs and a cow. A huge property with two brooks. If you wish to trek, you can. You need to walk quite a lot from the car parking to the property. It felt more than a kilometre of hike. But in a good weather you enjoy that too. Make sure you are wearing comfortable shoes. They send a person to collect your luggage and help you park the car. The food is fine. We weren't thrilled with the dinner as we were offered just one vegetable and promised two. But the quality and taste are fine. They charge you extra if you ask for milk during breakfast, which isn't an issue but a little off-putting. Overall, we recommend the place. It is pleasant and serene.

I was planning for a short trip from Delhi on my first anniversary to a destination that is disconnected from the world but is easily accessible by rail or air. My wife and I finalized Mc Leod Ganj and booked our air tickets from Delhi to Gaggal Airport,Dharamshala. While searching for the hotel properties for our stay,I discovered Jerry's Jungle Huts,associates of Prim Resorts, located at Palampur. This property is around an hour and a half distance from Mc Leodganj and Gaggal airport. The photographs of the place caught my attention and I called up Prim resorts to learn more about the place. When they described it to me, I knew that this was exactly the kind of place I was looking for- pure,serene,comfortable and away from the world. They told us that we can not drive to this place and that we have to hike. This was just awesome.||We met Anil aka Jerry,who received us on the airport. The next three days were one of the best of our lifetimes. Jerry showed us around the whole area including Mc Leod Ganj,Dharamshala,Palampur and areas around. His lodge is 15 mins hike from the main road which was the best part of the whole trip. Once we reached the lodge,the hospitality,food,location,climate,everything just made our stay really awesome. They grow most of the vegetables that they serve there itself,everything organic. The place also has great phone and 3G connectivity,which helped me to stay connected with my people at work and family. Jerry has put his heart and soul in building this place and I admire his efforts for the same.||Jerry and his wife took special care of both of us and we promised him to visit him again very soon with our friends.

I must to say it was a difference experience all together. Starting with how we had to reach the hut. Through the stream, it was so much fun. We stayed at hut, can't say much about it, very Spartan room I would say. With minimum ambience and not much comfort. We checked cottages later, they were much better. So if you want to stay here go for cottage instead of hut.||Nature is beautiful, this place is secluded, so nothing can disturb you if you want to take rest from city life.||||Food was very tasty, I asked for pasta for dinner and it was nice to get it, my husband liked Indian chicken dish.||Overall it was interesting experience, yeah it's difficult to reach the place and once you reach it you can't come out , but if people choose such place they want to spend time this way.||I would say this place is for nature enthusiasts or people who need a break from metro life.

The place is one of the best places I have ever visited.it is better than hotel that too all with peace and beauty all around. Perfectly built place .|The best part is the way to reach the place through the mountains. It is an exciting and thrilling experience through the nature.|The food tastes the best and specially the meat momos are yumm.... lot of things to explore.|If go here than you need not plan the trip as you reach the place ,you won't feel like going out ,that is how it can be defined.|The staff is is assisting ,kind and helping.|If anyone passes by,it is a must visit place all the best to the jerry's jungle huts. |Thank you for making my stay sooo. ..gud.|

This was my second visit to Jerry's Jungle Hut. If you are looking for nature, peace, good food and little bit of adventure, JJH is the place to spend couple of days in Palampur. The USP of the property is it's location which is away from main road and you need to take a short trek crossing the river to reach this property which is contructed on an isolated hill top. There is lot do within the property itself as you can go for jungle trekking, fishing and bird watching in addition to other places of tourist interest in Kangra valley. Nice view of Dhuladhar mountain range from the rooms and villa rooms contructing using woods and very cosy.

In simple words... It's an amazing place. A real 'Retreat' from the world around us!! I also saw some negative comments about the property. Please do NOT get disillusioned by them.. One has to be very clear about what one is looking for before booking accommodation at this place! If you want a hotel room, this place is not for you! But if you are here in the mountains for a complete overhaul away from any sort of disturbance....... I don't think that there's a better place!! And if by any chance, you happen to be someone from the creative space ?... This is the place for you....

I asked repeatedly about the walk in since we were arriving after dark and my wife has orthopedic issues that make walking on uneven surfaces challenging. We were reassured by PRIM (reservation system) that we would be traversing a gravel path. Well, we were the second family that day to arrive after dark who were shocked at the rugged terrain (challenging during daylight but downright dangerous in the dark of night). If you want to trek, great, but don't tell people it's a walk in the park (see attached photo).||Our room was spartan but adequate; the bathroom was filthy, with the floor covered with wood-tone contact paper that flooded when the shower was used. I mopped up the floor with a towel and ended up with a black towel. Every drinking glass in the room was gross.||The on-site manager recognized that PRIM had misrepresented the property and arranged for us to stay elsewhere; we walked out the next morning and never returned.||The only redeeming feature is that the Indian food is very good.

This place is a must to visit for people who love being at peace. It's a isolated resort which you reach by taking a 30min trek. But once you reach there. You feel close to nature with lots of amenities to offer.||Awesome place. Friendly staff. Good food. Great service. Clean rooms, bathrooms, beddings.|
