Dwarika Residency, Shelapani

We stayed here along with our four dogs for six nights and seven days in March 2025. It was an unforgettable experience, right from the location to the property itself to the owners to the staff. The views from here are outstanding, and you can explore the orchards nearby on foot for some great photographs and views. Coming to the food, everything was really well made. The hospitality was top notch and our dogs loved playing around with Maya, the lovely Husky belonging to the owners. We would love to visit this place again and may even make it our annual holiday to the mountains.

I had a great experience at this beautiful property nestled in the Mountains! The food was fantastic, the service was beautiful, and the perfect atmosphere. The rooms were clean, very comfortable,amenities were great and the staff was amazing. They went over and beyond to help make our stay enjoyable. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting upper Shimla.... be back soon!

We have always preferred staying at homestays since it makes us feel connected to that place. Dwarika Residency is the best property which we have stayed throughout our experiences across India. The services, food and hospitality is exemplary, and this is the first place that comes to our mind whenever we think of an ideal staycation !! Sudhir ji is a perfect welcoming host, and ChamanLal ji takes superb care of all aspects during the stay along with cooking delicious meals. Gardens are well maintained and the internal decor deserves accolades. Its situated in middle of apple orchards which makes your stay feel like you have landed right inside a utopia! No amount of words can describe how special this place makes you feel. But I hope this attempt at a review does give an insight of how much amazing this place is! Extremely delighted with the wonderful stay!!

Not a place I would recommend to anyone. The workers there were good and nice to us but the owner was impolite and rude to us. There was no electricity for charging our devices or even ironing our clothes. We stayed there for 5 days and we asked them so many times to clean our rooms but they only cleaned them for once. I think they call five star resort for nothing. The food provided was delicious but the quantity was poor. We complained about this issue so many times to the owner but the serving was still poor. They had 3 workers in total and they were in charge of literally everything! They were the ones cooking food, looking after electricity and other such problems. The road for the resort is also dangerous. It's slippery and and you have to walk at least 1.5 km to your way to the resort (along with your luggages). I would recommend everyone to find any other place instead of this.

We hav just returned from this place..no doubt is heven on earth..they call it a five star pet friendly property ..bt the services provided are worst ..no electricity ,no room cleaning , the food was gud bt the quantity served was not sufficient we kept on complaing bt the owner was so unprofessional he never tried to resolve the issues regarding food light n cleanliness..no beddings for our pet..i think he has a very gud property n shud provide all the facilities mentioned on all the travelling sites as we found nothing dere.he is charging too much n is giving nothing in return..we booked the property a month before bt there kitchens were empty and always out of stock..they dont even have a menu and charge wotever they desire. I will not recomand my friends n family this place ever

Excellent property with bad service we have booked for 3 days and it was mentioned that breakfast and dinner included but i dono in breakfast they only serve tea and for coffee its charged extra Road to reach is extremly bad and takes 4 hrs to reach from shimla
