Siolim House is one of the most unique and beautiful places I have stayed. My partner and I visited Goa for a friend's wedding and we stopped here with some friends. ||||The hotel has a very relaxing, calming vibe which was perfect for our trip. It is very clean and well maintained, which makes you feel very comfortable. All of the rooms are massive and unique in design, which made the experience very special. ||||We loved relaxing by the poolside each day or having tea in the food area. The breakfast buffet and lunch/dinner that you could pre-order was always yummy and fresh. There's a library and games room where you can chill-out. They also have a wonderful masseuse you can book for a fully body massage in one of the spa rooms. ||||The staff are so sweet and kind - they really made our experience here special. They were able to recommend local antique shops, arrange days out for us (such as the Spice Plantation) and help us with taxis and the rest of our travels around Goa. ||||I cannot wait to return to this beautiful little hotel! I really cannot recommend it enough to anyone who is looking for a place to stay in Siolim. Thank you so much to Lindsay and your lovely team for making our Siolim House experience so special.

We had a great stay at Siolim house. Very relaxing place and perfect spot to chill out at the pool and relax. Lindsay the manager was incredible, so attentive & helpful , as was the rest of his team. There was a great atmosphere at Siolim house and we would definitely return. Beds very comfortable & room cool & quiet with huge bathroom. We did yoga every morning by the pool and really enjoyed breakfast afterwards.
This glorious mansion is a very comfortable place to spend a few days away from the coast. We had a room within the house itself, one of the most spacious rooms I can recall, whose decor reflected its colonial origins. It was comfortable; my only criticism is the loudness of the air conditioning unit. The small restaurant serves good food including afternoon tea and cakes. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The garden has a large and very welcome swimming pool.
Such a wonderful place to stay! The team were incredibly kind & warm. They helped make our stay super comfortable. The rooms were gorgeous and the pool area was nestled in a really beautiful & well maintained garden. The breakfast was delicious too!
Siolim House is a stunning property that exudes heritage charm, offering spacious and comfortable rooms. We stayed in the front room next to the front desk, which I wouldn't recommend if you're looking for a quieter experience. While the beds were incredibly comfortable and the bathroom was huge, the proximity to the front desk meant we could hear a lot of activity, especially when some staff had their phone on speaker. As an old heritage home, the acoustics naturally carry footsteps and voices. It would be great if the staff used earphones while on screen to reduce the noise. That said, the disturbances were never after hours or too early in the morning, and I had some of the best sleeps despite being a light sleeper who's sensitive to sound.||The other rooms seemed quieter and more private, so I'd recommend exploring those options. The property's common areas are beautiful, with a lovely open-air atrium featuring bougainvillea and vibrant flowers. The pool area is inviting, with plenty of sun throughout the day, fresh towels, and spacious sun beds.||Breakfast was decent, with fresh fruit, juices, cereals, and bread, complemented by eggs and ham cooked to order. However, the food options could be more flexible. Lunch and dinner require pre-ordering well in advance, which isn't ideal for holidaymakers with changing plans. When we arrived, we ordered salads from the quick menu, which were underwhelming.||Leslie, the manager, was an absolute highlight of our stay--friendly, engaging, and genuinely interested in getting to know us and ensuring we had a great experience. He offered recommendations and made us feel right at home. While some staff were equally warm and helpful, others seemed less enthusiastic, and the hospitality could use some fine-tuning to elevate the overall experience.||Siolim House has just nine rooms, creating a cozy, family-like atmosphere among the guests. We were fortunate to meet lovely fellow travelers during our stay, and some were even returning visitors, which speaks to the charm of the property.||The location is convenient, with restaurants nearby, and the staff assisted us in renting a scooter, which made exploring the area a breeze. Parking across the street was easy, and we felt well cared for and safe throughout our stay.||Overall, Siolim House is a beautiful and peaceful retreat with much to love. A few tweaks to the hospitality and dining flexibility would make it an even more welcoming and relaxing experience.
Siolim House is a beautiful and atmospheric small hotel situated in an old Portuguese mansion. The rooms are spacious, the staff are charming and helpful, breakfast is plentiful and other meals can be ordered - we had the most delicious garlic prawns one evening. Outside there is a beautiful pool and space to lounge both in or out of the sun. We were delighted to return this year after our first visit in 2007 - and it did not disappoint. Thanks to Lindsay and the team for making our stay so pleasurable.
What a beautiful haven! Cannot recommend more highly. |So glad we found this charming, calming and inspiring place. The spacious and elegant room was perfect, the communal areas quiet and calm. The local village is full of interesting spots (we loved the tailor at the end of the road), with several staggering period properties to give a sense of old Goa. |Most importantly, the staff anre exceptional - hugely helpful, interesting and great to chat to. Food is delicious - the masala fish in banana leaf is hands-down the best thing we are all holiday.|We'll definitely be back!!
We recently had the opportunity to stay at Siolim House again and it was an unforgettable experience, as always. We arrived early in the morning and the staff went out of their way to provide us with a room, even though check-in is after noon. We stayed in the enormous and elegantly decorated Maccao room. The property is a beautiful 400-year-old Portuguese villa, converted into a boutique hotel and the atmosphere is great. Guests meet and exchange experiences over a delicious breakfast and later by the pool. The hotel staff is very friendly, always polite and ready to help. Especially the manager Lindsay takes time for every guest and helps them with advice. The food at the hotel is delicious, served by the always cheerful Morji and Kevin. If you want to step out of the hustle and bustle of India into a peaceful oasis, then Siolim House is definitely the right choice.
