YMCA GOA

It's a quaint place, very minimalist facilities but the service and warmth is what it matters. Located at the centre of the city, you can find good restaurants at a walkable distance.

We travelled to Goa and stayed at YMCA Panjim for two nights. The reason being total access to the city as the property is dot in the middle of the city. ||We booked a single A/C double occupancy room, the breakfast and dinner complimentary!!! ||The property is well maintained. Very clean toilets and rooms. We were very happy as the staff were very friendly. Mr Savio took good care of us. Mr Antony was so friendly that my son( 18 month old) got quickly attached to him. The cook aunty made some yummy breakfast and a good dinner. All homemade. ||Mr Savio arranged a driver for pickup from the airport and arranged for drop-off at the railway station. A friendly person name Mr Alex. ||Whats so cool about the stay was everything is walking distance from the property. There is a mall behind which kept us entertained. ||Though the goa trip was just to visit my dear friend, the stay was memorable. ||Next time, will plan a proper plan but will defiantly stay at the YMCA.||Cheers

Not great. Food was not upto the mark. We had to request multiple times to provide tea. Location is not near to market or city.

I stayed here in a non-AC single occupancy room. The room was fairly clean albeit, a bit old, peeling paint, etc. It has absolutely no frills. Fitting for people who don't mind economic accommodation but still want some privacy. There were some events happening for Senior citizens and differently-abled people. Room rent is inclusive of breakfast & dinner. Food has a homemade quality. Not too spicy or oily. You can tell the cook how you want your meals. The property is located quite centrally, close to the casinos but not walking distance from any beach. It is right next to the Methodist Church.

If you are not looking for something fancy, then this is the place to be. The inside road leading to the outlet is yet to be paved. This aside, it's almost a stones throw-away from Panjim city, and so this is convenience at no great cost. The staff are friendly, the manager is extremely helpful in his recommendations and local tips. Breakfast and dinner are included in the package. However, when we needed to have lunch (ala-carte) on one of the days, the staff willingly obliged.||Clean rooms, peaceful surroundings, this felt like "home away from home".

As we all know, YMCAs are for budget travelers. This is located at Campal, a very nice place in Panaji. Rooms are Ok, have a good view, peaceful stay. Breakfast & Dinner are included in the price. Service is OK. Food is a bit problem if you are vegetarian as I am.||Just 10 minutes walking distance from Miramar Beach. That's a plus.

YMCA Panjim is a good place. If you have a plan to stay close to Panjim City and you are on a tight budget, then this is the place. They provide decent breakfast in the morning and dinner at night. If you are a foodie they are many options to search in Panjim City.It would be easy for traveling to South Goa and around the City. For individuals travelling in the local buses would be convenient and economical.
