Ahilya by the Sea

An absolutely fantastic stay, our room was clean, well appointed and yards from the waves ! |The staff are absolutely fabulous, they're always on hand without being obtrusive, and always a smile. The best part was waking up early, sitting in your own space, sipping chai and watching the fisherman at work. |The chef is exceptional, the meals we had were perfect.|I totally 100% recommend this hotel, you won't regret it

Wow, this hotel is the most amazing location, and the villas and gardens are absolutely stunning. The views across the pool and garden onto the sea are amazing and you don't get bored of them! The staff are incredibly helpful, and nothing is too much trouble, although perhaps lacked a personal friendliness that we experienced elsewhere on our trip. The staff were incredibly helpful in recommending things to do and helping with taxis etc. The sunset boat trip was a must, an hour out with local fishermen on a small boat, and the dolphins treated us to lots of jumping and dancing in the water which will live with us for a long time! The food was good without being exceptional, however the martini bar offering was brilliant. Lovely rooms with nice big comfortable beds. As a plant lover, I wandered around the garden a lot looking at Al the amazing plants. The swimming pool was also absolutely fabulous. Overall I would not hesitate in recommending this hotel, it was fantastic. I hope to return one day!

Ahilya by the Sea lived up to its name. The gentle waves serenaded us to sleep each night. By morning we watched the fishermen haul in their nets. The setting was idyllic, with outdoor terraces and pools to lounge by. The beds were comfortable. The rooms charming. The food terrific. The staff were incredibly helpful. Our only regret was we were not there longer.

Peaceful oasis by the sea. Perfect luxury boutique hotel to unwind at, with excellent food and very attentive service. Rooms are beautifully decorated and the outside areas provide lots of privacy. It offers very different experience to many of the busier hotels and areas in Goa. Just kick back and relax

Quiet , elegant luxury that encapsulates every aspect of beautiful vacation. From the luscious garden to the brilliant views , fantastic cocktails and food , very pleasing service and pretty and tasteful rooms and bathrooms .

We stayed in the Nascente Suite, which I think is the best choice. The view is incredible, with no major buildings in the sightline, only the beach and the green coast and a little village with fishing boats, cows and a few local lads playing cricket. We immediately canceled our restaurant plans for our three days in Goa, preferring to have cocktails while gazing at the sunsets and eating at their little restaurant. The best food and the best service we had anywhere on this trip. And the view!

This is truly a magical property. I've stayed all over the world and this experience is in my top 10. ||Incredibly quiet and away from the craziness of North Goa beaches, you can really find time to relax and appreciate the eclectic mix of art, plants, food, and architecture the property provides. I was York between staying here or a 5 star larger resort and am so happy I went with Ahilya.||The grounds are spectacular. All of the various plantings in the ground and in various pottery throughout the property were gorgeous. The walkways between the Sunrise Villa and the main villa were all through winding gardens. The two pools were beautiful, warm, and crystal clear. Various fountains always kept the ambiance relaxed. ||The beach is an active fishing beach so not the best to go swimming. With that said, I found it fascinating and relaxing to observe all the boats throughout the day. ||The food was super fresh, delicious and varied each day. The included breakfast was fantastic and had something for everyone. ||The service was second to none. I don't think the Four Seasons could have done a better job of anticipating my needs and always being a moments notice away without being overbearing. ||Internet was very iffy but that ended up being kind of a plus. ||I highly recommend this property for a romantic trip or for pure relaxation. ||I hope to return some day!

What a fabulous property! We had an excellent welcome and were well looked after by all of the very attentive staff. ||We stayed in the Suite which was very large and had a great view.||The main infinity pool area was lovely with lots of space to relax.||There were several lounge areas to read and relax in.||Food and drink was excellent, particularly the breakfasts.||I would highly recommend a couple of days in this relaxing and historic property.
