Mermaid Resort

I recently stayed at Mermaid resort (March 2025) and it was hands down, the most disappointing hotel experience I've ever had. From the moment we stepped into our room, it was clear that cleanliness was not a priority. The room was filthy, covered in rat droppings, and the smell was unbearable. Despite requesting the manager to address the situation, all he did was spray room freshener, which didn't help at all. The condition of the room was appalling. The rats had not only left their mark everywhere but had also ruined the pillows. The taps were broken, the air conditioning was non-functional, and the bedsheets looked like they hadn't been changed in a long time. The bathroom was a nightmare, reeking of rat urine to the point that it was impossible to even go near it. To add insult to injury, the table in the room was dirty, and the manager was completely unhelpful. He was reluctant to waive the full charges despite the state of the room. We had initially booked online, but upon arrival, we were charged more, and he refused to refund the extra money. Overall, this stay was a disaster, and I would advise anyone considering a stay at Mermaid resort to look elsewhere. The lack of cleanliness and poor customer service made this an experience I would not wish upon anyone.

We were staying for 4 days & the care taker was very rude to us, the rooms were bad. Walls had gaps and holes. Bathroom had a very unpleasant smell, the water too was stinking. Even after asking for extra bedding we weren't given the items on time we got it after 2days. Caretaker wasn't doing his job well. I wouldn't recommend anyone to stay here, not worth the price.

My recent experience with Mermaid resort was very pleasant. I did extend my stay considering the comfort and the the cozy vibes there. Cottages at most reasonable prices in north goa. Manager Dheeraj is a really helpful guy. Looking after all the requirements. I was on a solo trip and the resort gave me a perfect ambience to enjoy my solitude while I was also working sabbatical from there. I made a very good friend, who is their pet dog . I named him 'cookie' , my perfect companion who guarded me during the night, right outside the cottage. The restaurant outside serves comfort food at most reasonable pricing. I enjoyed their prawn thali the most The location is bit remote and secluded which makes it difficult to commute without a rented vehicle. That's the only problem I had the entire time. Overall I am pleased with their hospitality.

Poor service, no one will take calls during evening. Basic needs are not available here like glasses, dustbin, plates, kettle. Bathroom door locks are very poor. Family who runs this resort are looks like a mafia gang. Unsatisfied services & rooms. Totally waste of money.

I haven't lived there but I make sure that I stop and have some food there if I am passing by that road. Aunty is hardworking and makes food with love. The home-cooked style meals satisfies my hunger.

First of all they behave like they are running government resort. No respect for customers. 1. They are selling 30 rs ( printed price )fruit shake at rs 40 rs. On asking why so. Their grandmother told me that we dont have people to arrange the all products to buy some where. They are giving me the example of beach line price. They told me sugarcane juice are selling 50 rs glass on beach. 2. All people are very very Rude like they dont need customers. Their complate family approx. 15 people. Stay their. 3. Room was average. Hole are there in wall and door. After all privacy matters. 4. mouses come and eat soap. At night. 5. I think owner should inter fair this matter and should gave traning to entire family who is handling this property that how to behave with customers.

Probably my worst experience in Goa- the management is rude and unhelpful - would not recommend unless you want to eat at the restaurant which has good Maharashtrian food but the room is crawling with bugs, ants and in a bad condition overall. Noisy at night, poor plumbing and no maintenance essentially

The food was amazing and the lady was so sweet. Proper home made food. You can just went here to have amazing food! Quality is up to the mark and price is very reasonable. Must visit!
