Mayem Lake View (GTDC)

Good development with some facilities available like cafe, rooms, kids play, panoramic view about the lake, but more can be done considering that mayem lake is one the best place for tourists towards Bicholim

I recently had the opportunity to stay at this hotel and overall, my experience was quite mixed. The hotel rooms themselves were quite decent, meeting most of my expectations for comfort and cleanliness. Upon entering my room, I was pleased with its spaciousness and modern decor. The bed was comfortable, providing a restful night's sleep, and the bathroom was clean and well-stocked with high-quality toiletries. One of the standout features of this hotel is undoubtedly the view from the rooms. My room overlooked a stunning landscape, with a panoramic view that was both relaxing and invigorating. Whether it was watching the sunrise with a cup of coffee in the morning or unwinding with a glass of wine in the evening, the view added an extra layer of enjoyment to my stay. It's clear that the hotel's location is one of its strongest assets, offering guests a beautiful vista that is hard to beat. However, my experience with the hotel's restaurant was far less satisfying. Given the overall quality of the hotel and the views it offers, I had high expectations for the dining experience, but these were not met. The restaurant fell short in several areas, the most notable being the quality of the food. The menu seemed promising at first glance, offering a variety of dishes that appeared appetizing. Unfortunately, the execution did not live up to the promise. The dishes lacked flavor and seemed to be prepared with little attention to detail. Some items were overcooked while others were underseasoned, making for a rather disappointing meal. Additionally, the service in the restaurant left much to be desired. While the staff in the hotel were generally polite and attentive, the restaurant staff seemed overwhelmed and inattentive. It took an inordinate amount of time for our orders to be taken and even longer for the food to arrive. When it did, it was clear that the long wait was not due to careful preparation. In conclusion, while the hotel rooms and the stunning views make for a pleasant stay, the restaurant needs significant improvement. If dining is an important part of your hotel experience, you might want to consider other options for meals. However, for a comfortable stay with beautiful views, this hotel is a good choice.

This year, my experience in Goa was unlike any other! It was an amazing solo trip, where every encounter left a lasting impression. Whether it was the staff at Mayem Lake View Hotel, the team at Jumping Heights for bungee jumping, Mr. Gajanan (my cab driver), or the lovely people I met in Mayem village, each one was a true gem of a person. They were incredibly sweet, calm, and went out of their way to ensure my comfort as a solo traveler. The setting of Mayem Lake View, surrounded by lush greenery, offered a peaceful and close-to-nature retreat. As someone from Mumbai, it was a rare treat to spend almost a week in such a serene place with NO MOSQUITOES. The cleanliness and hygiene standards were impeccable, and the restaurant staff at Mayem Deck Hotel served delicious vegetarian food, adding to the overall wonderful experience. It was truly memorable to cross paths with so many beautiful souls during my trip. The best part of solo travel, is where strangers can feel like lifelong friends. This was undoubtedly the best trip to Goa in 2024.

Location wise this is a very calm and beautiful place. It's a hidden gem. But be prepared for unkept rooms and not so clean washroom. The bedsheets and the bed were ok. The food here sucks. There is no good restaurant near by, except a small Chai tapri which serves the best Chai and their mirchi pakoda is must try. Overall you can visit this place for it's location and views. Not for a comfortable stay.

To me, got much more than what I paid. Why was it a fabulous place for me? Coz I didn't go for external ambience of building. Be there for quiet and serene place; with forest like vegetation all around. Yes, be prepared for 60-70 minutes drive to the happening places like beaches etc. Yet worth the stay. We stayed in a cottage - God! ample size! Well furnished. Unlike many budget stays in many cities; very neat room, good quality sheets and towels, no mosquitoes/ cockroaches. geyser works very well, glasses and water is provided in room. The a/cs are well maintained. Fabulous lake view. Lovely place by the side of lake. There is a boating service. Can do Bungee Jumps... Courteous staff. There is restaurant attached. Ample parking place.

The Hotel is located in a tranquilizng environment facing to the Mayem Lake. You will find clean rooms with neat and tidy bathrooms. They provide a variety of rooms as per availability. They have a lakefront Gazebo that is a good place for relaxing during sunrise and sunset. Their route to the rooms goes along the lake which is good place to find some rare bird sighting. Yes, they do not have a restaurant in-house, but you will find a few near the lake. Overall a good experience with the staff. The prices are not expensive but depend on season and are fixed by goa tourism.

Cozy place. Need to improve staff attitude. Cleanliness of the place is dodgy Beautiful property neglected. 4 stars for the view. Don't expect tea or breakfast before 8:30am. Never really had food here. Walked over to the roadside stall across the street or Ice and Spice nearby, but recently revamped their restaurant as of 27-Apr-18. -------------- As of Apr-23, the face of the place is completely changed. Although did not stay, but visited to check it out Place looked cleaner, and much better maintained. The restaurant has now started with a fresh menu, and name "Mayem Deck Restaurant". Some of the AC outdoor units seemed new suggesting some fresh initiative in action. There is also better energy all around, esp with the new garden / bungee in place All in all much positive experience this visit

Rooms where good and cheap and the view was amazing and the radius also nice 2400 you get a nice room
