Devasthali Resort ! Valley of Gods. - Located at a stone throw distance from the Dabolim airport (6-8 mins to be precise); This wonderful resort sets itself apart from all the hustle and bustle of the chattering streets. Nestled away down into a gorge, it actually feels like driving into God's own valley. - The property has ample amount of open parking space available and you are greeted straight at the front desk once you enter. - The property has about 20-30 rooms consisting of semi - deluxe to deluxe & family suites. All the rooms consist of individual bathtubs and have basic amenities like mini fridge, iron (on call) etc. The plus point being the rooms, which are very comfortable and spacious. - The property has in house swimming pool however the location could have been better as it is just next to the front desk. - No in house gym however for the health freaks in Goa, the hollant beach is only 15 minutes away via walk and consists of picturesque views and noteworthy flora and fauna (If lucky you could even find otters swimming thorough the adjacent stream) - The resorts boasts of in house MJ fine dining restaurant, which offers buffet breakfast as part of the package. The breakfast options are limited and the only additional thing you can order is an omelette while everything else will be chargeable. The food preparation is average and better options in terms of portion size & taste can be done via food apps. The restaurant doesn't provide you spare cutlery for rooms which was a letdown and disposable plates are kept in the front desk incase anyone needs. - Noteworthy mentions to the room cleaning staff which comprise of a gang of ladies who will always greet you with a smile on their face. Also a praiseworthy note to Neliston at the front desk, who is prompt with whatever help is needed. All in all, a pleasant stay in Dabolim. Offering great service for the money you pay and for the rest there is Blinkit & Zomato.
Amazing staff, but they cant meet your expectations of better rooms. Walls are dirty, smells smoking, none of plug in works. Either you can watch TV or Charge your phone. Internet service goes out in morning, sometimes water disappear. Staff is very Respectful to keep you Calm positively. Room service was not bad either.
The place was pristine. Well maintained and courteous staff. The restaurant could have been stocked better when it comes to drinks. Close to the beach and yet not far from the airport n city. The small stream and coconut trees at the back of the rooms were the best. For the price it was a steal.
Great stay! Would love to come here again. Highly recommend coming here with family / friends if you want to get away for a relaxing weekend. Far away from Goa's mainstream activities, I really enjoyed this place for its nature centred presence and hospitality
The resort is located at a very strategic location. It has a cute little pool, where you can chill. I loved the secluded quite location of the resort despite being so close to the beach. The staff is also helpful, and the best part is that it is at a very reasonable cost.
Long review. Pros - room was spacious and kinda comfortable. Cons - everything else. 1. They charge a lot for the stay but don't have any facilities. The pool didn't have water when we checked in. They said it would be ready by evening. In the evening they said it would be ready by next morning. Next morning there water but it was full of bugs and insects so they said it would be ready by evening again. That evening they said it would be ready by next morning. Next morning was our check out. Pool wasn't ready yet. We already had cancelled a few of our plans thinking we'll be able to relax in the pool a bit with their frequent promises of a quick fix 2. Food. Not great. Took them one hour to give us a sandwich. Naan was worse than my hostel rotis. Went to have lunch at their restaurant the first day. When we went to sit at a table we were suggested with a smile to sit outside as apparently lizards shit over the food from the ceiling. He said he's only doing his job informing that to us but we were pretty freaked out and ordered room service since then. 3. Wifi. Wasn't working. The WiFi signal was too weak. Reported that to the reception. Was told there isn't anything they can do about it 4. Pillows. Extremely dirty. Had some spots and fungus grown all over. Imagine calling yourself a "luxury" resort and giving fungus infected pillows to your guests who paid a fortune for a two day stay. 5. The temple nearby. Kept having some bhajans at 9 pm at night, really loud, to the extent where your mental peace and sanity is gone. 6. Room. Was adequately spacious with a good design but fair lack of maintenance. Fridge wasn't plugged in so didn't bother to check if it worked. AC remote doesn't function unless you coerce the batteries in and then stand 1 cm from the receiver. Commode is modern but fixed at an strange upward angle which is pretty painful for the thighs with weirdly a phone/ethernet jack beside it (maybe to replenish the lack of proper WiFi) 7. Location is pretty remote which is usually a plus unless there is literally nothing outside. No shops/ restaurants/ people anything. So definitely has a spooky feel at night and you would want to stay inside and have their food unless you have your own vehicle. Plus see point 5 above 8. Service in general - pretty shit to be honest. 9. Strange looks from men and ogling from the security guard to the people working on the infrastructure. Felt really uncomfortable as a woman. Overall - calling yourself a LUXURY RESORT and then failing to deliver the bare minimum should be a point of shame but the management doesn't seem to care. They've made the initial investment and have zero maintenance of the property. There was some constant noise going on around our room, screeching sounds of motors, hammering drilling etc. In short lot of opportunities to improve if you want to call yourself a luxury option.
Amazing place to have your leisure trip. Nice and calm. Rooms are also good. Hygiene is maintained. Only suggestion would be they should provide complimentary breakfast for the price they charge for the room.
