Palace Downtown

First time stay and we really wanted to like this hotel. It's in a very central location, a couple of minutes walk to Dubai Mall, underneath the Burj Khalifa and we really liked the general vibe of the place. However, the main reason we booked here was for the fountains and lake. We'd booked a lake view room months in advance. There was no communication beforehand stating anything different so you can imagine our surprise when we turned up and the lake wasn't there. It's currently completely drained due to works on the lake and fountain which will be taking another 5 months or so to complete. This meant we were overlooking a building site which actually was quite interesting at times but also meant we had a lot of noise 24-7, including being woken up several times especially when a big truck started dumping huge metal frames right outside our room around 1am. We complained, and to the management's credit we were comped dinner in one of the restaurants which was superb - both service and food. There were a couple of other issues such as the coffee machine not working but staff came to try and fix it pretty quickly and then brought a new one when it couldn't be. The pool was lovely for an early morning swim and the pool staff very proactive. We'll give it another go but will be waiting until the Lake and Fountains are back up and running.

We had an unforgettable evening at Thiptara in the Palace Downtown Hotel, Dubai. The food was absolutely amazing - rich in flavour, beautifully presented, and truly authentic Thai cuisine at its best. Every dish tasted fresh and perfectly balanced. The service throughout the night was outstanding, and we want to give a special mention to Dew, who looked after us so well. From start to finish, Dew made the experience feel personal and memorable, and we're truly grateful for the care and attention. A heartfelt thank you as well for the thoughtful anniversary cake and kind wishes - it was the perfect touch to end a wonderful evening. Thiptara is a must-visit for anyone looking for exceptional food and warm, attentive service in a stunning setting

We had an amazing dinner at Thiptara Restaurant! Excellent value for money. Food, service and the view are exceptional! Babar helped us to carefully select the right dishes and have a fantastic culinari experience! It was also my birthday and they were able to make the occasion very special! Super recommended!

The service is excellent. My special thanks go to Sonia at the reception desk. She helped me to get an important order directly to the hotel. She even gave her personal mobile phone number to the supplier and everything went smoothly. Thank you Sonia for your exceptional help. I can recommend the hotel with a clear conscience. The pillows are the flufiest I ever felt. ;-) had a good Brunch with family at Ewaan and enjoy the ambience and environment. More Visits to come. Kids Friendly. Thanks to Bishnu Rakeh and team we had a good time with the family. Goods were great.

I had a wonderful experience staying at Hotel Palace Downtown. The location was perfect, right in the heart of the city, with easy access to local attractions and dining options. Amazing hotel, location and service- 5 star level and very charming. We come here every year and would always come back. Had a beautiful view overlooking the fountain- can see the fountain show from the room everyday! Location is ideal, steps away from dubai mall. Enjoyed the arabic coffee from Abdo at the lobby, its the best arabic coffee!

This hotel is pure magic. It s beautiful inside out. We usually go to the pool and to the restaurants. Everything is perfect! Very very clean! Beautiful place and super comfortable facilities. But the level of the service here is very very high. Susil and Furba are always at the pool to welcome you with biggest smile ever and a perfect care allowing you to enjoy your day on the pool. They are so friendly and welcoming with the children in particular that you really feel home. Food is really delicious. They have amazing French pastry and a great quality and variety of the food . One of the best places to enjoy Dubai. Grazie
