I chose QE2 purely from TripAdvisor reviews and was very impressed that they've converted an old cruise liner into a hotel. ||The Ship itself is bolted to the sea bed and is not floating but the illusion is there. It was lovely to see that they've kept most of the original elements of the ship. I was late in checking in but the room was available when I landed. ||I was very impressed with the room even though the ceiling was a few inches from my head . That added to the experience of this hotel but the bed was comfortable and the AC was good. Overall, I'd say the room was excellent and the cleaning was done on time.||The breakfast was good and had a good mix of western and Indian dishes that really helps a Sri Lankan like me. There was nothing wanting in the food and I would rate it as an excellent 5 star breakfast. ||The reason that I'm unable to give 5 stars to this hotel is that everything goes bad when the sun goes down. The calls to the Reception and the Concierge go unanswered. My colleague had to take his bags down since no one was there to answer the phone. The same thing happened to me since even after someone answering and saying that they're sending someone, I waited 15 minutes and then brought my bag down myself. Not something you expect from an Accor hotel.||When I inquired why the phones go unanswered, apparently there's people on leave. This wasn't an excuse I was willing to accept and the Management must take note to have alternative plans in place.

Staying at the Queen Elizabeth II Hotel has been one of the most unique and unforgettable experiences of my life. The hotel, located on a beautifully restored cruise liner, offers stunning rooms with incredible decor, countless museum exhibits, and several exquisite restaurants. Every corner of the ship has its own story and atmosphere -- it's easy to spend hours just exploring. The staff is extremely welcoming and truly makes you feel at home. Special thanks to Sajith for his kindness and quick attention to any requests -- the service here is outstanding! I was initially concerned about feeling the ship move, but after spending a day here, I can confidently say that you don't feel it at all. The views are breathtaking, and the peaceful vibe of the place is something you rarely find. Highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a truly special and memorable stay in Dubai!
There's a truly homely and welcoming atmosphere here. The front desk team is outstanding--both friendly and professional. Check-in was smooth and efficient, with none of the frustrating system delays I often encounter in the city. Concierge and security were equally helpful, making the whole experience seamless. This place is perfect for a special escape--romantic getaways, families, academics needing a break, and even wives looking for a well-deserved timeout! I loved seeing a nice mix of locals and international guests. It's a brilliantly run business that doesn't seem to seek the spotlight, perhaps intentionally, but it's clear that some very smart people are behind it. Highly recommended!
A unique and historic floating hotel. Showcasing maritime history and British heritage. Guests can enjoy a blend of modern amenities and classic decor, along with various dining options. Its location adds to its appeal, offering stunning views of the waterfront.
We had a wonderful and very romantic evening at the restaurant, The Pavilion, on the Queen Elizabeth II ship. Everything went perfectly. Our waiter, Reda, was very polite, very helpful, very cheerful, and even made suggestions for dishes. We absolutely loved the experience on this historic ship; the staff were so lovely. We have nothing to criticize, and the food was excellent -- we highly recommend it.
We visited this floating hotel whilst part of a stopover visit to the Maldives. Our check in was handled by Mary who was very good charging our reservation slightly so that we could get our breakfast early as we had an early departure. The room was very good as was room service and a trip to the golden lion and lido restaurant. All staff we encountered were excellent including the concierge who's name escapes me at the moment. Would I return to this floating hotel absolutely I would it's very reasonable for Dubai with a free courtesy bus to downtown mall's and beaches
I recently stayed at the iconic QE2 Hotel and had an incredible experience. From the moment I arrived, the staff made me feel truly welcomed. A special mention goes to Dolrich at the Golden Lion, whose warm hospitality and attentiveness elevated every visit. His professionalism and cheerful demeanor made our evenings there especially enjoyable. Over at the Pavilion, the outside view was stunning, and Alex ensured our time there was smooth and relaxing. He was always available and attentive to details, making the outdoor experience even more pleasant. Dining at the Lido Restaurant was another highlight of our stay. Both Joseph and Aliston were fantastic--friendly, efficient, and always ready with a smile. They made each meal feel special with their impeccable service. The QE2 offers more than just a stay--it delivers an experience filled with history, elegance, and outstanding hospitality. Highly recommended!
I had an amazing stay at this hotel! The highlight for me was definitely the dinner--it was absolutely incredible. Truly one of the best meals I've had in Dubai in a long time. You can genuinely taste the care and love put into every dish. It was a beautiful experience. The breakfast, while decent, didn't quite live up to the same level as dinner. It wasn't bad by any means, but there's definitely room for improvement. The check-in process was very smooth, and I really appreciated the warm welcome. The ladies at the front office were lovely, and the concierge and all the staff we interacted with were helpful and kind. Their hospitality really stood out. However, one thing that impacted our experience was trying to reach the reception by phone in the morning (around 8-9 a.m.). We tried calling several times with no answer. We eventually reached reservations, and while they said they'd call us back, we never received a follow-up. That was a bit disappointing, especially since going in person isn't easy due to having to get off the boat to reach the front office. I think that's something the hotel should work on improving. Overall though, our stay was wonderful, and I would definitely return. The food, staff, and ambiance were all memorable.
