"Awful experience! This was the worst hotel I've ever stayed in. The room was filthy, with stained sheets and The air conditioning didn't work, The Wi-Fi was nonexistent, which made it impossible to get any work done. The staff were unhelpful and rude when I asked for a different room, and I had to wait an hour just to get clean towels. The location is the only thing going for it, but it's not worth the hassle. I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone. Stay far away!" This review highlights poor cleanliness, service, maintenance, and overall dissatisfaction with the experience.

Sagar Darbar is a cozy little place located around 100m from the beach along Seaface road. It's got all the amenities one could ask for at the price (which is surprisingly affordable). The rooms are comfortable and the bathrooms and linens are neat and clean. Aside from the prime location, which makes for easy accessibility to the rest of Daman, the greatest selling point of this place would be its Food and Service. The food is fresh, delicious and could very well be served at a 4-5 hotel. The chef (who was also the bartender) is adept at whipping up all kinds of cuisines, especially the local seafood and mutton dishes. The service provided by Budhia, Vishal, Prahlad and the rest of the staff was excellent. They are responsive and understand the guest's requirements. A special shout out to Budhia who boasts some neat skills and tricks as a server. Finally I'd like to mention the host and owner, Mr. Santosh, who was gracious, polite and very welcoming. Would recommend this place to anyone who wants to visit Daman on a budget.
