We went to Akay Resort, Mangatta for our school reunion and had a great time. The property is beautiful with huge lawns and personal cottages with private pools. There is a big lake and nice walking trails to enjoy nature. The food was delicious and the service was good. It's a perfect place for a weekend getaway with friends or family. Peaceful, clean, and relaxing - we loved it!

We were planning a reunion for Shree Mahavir Jain Vidyalaya alumni and were confused about where to host it. Surprisingly, while discussing options, we all realized that we had received a WhatsApp message from Akay Resort and Villas. It felt like a perfect coincidence! Thanks to that message, we found a great destination for our group of 30 people. The place turned out to be ideal for our reunion. Highly recommended for group get-togethers!

Akay Resort is a great place to relax and enjoy some peaceful time. The ambiance is beautiful, surrounded by greenery and a calm atmosphere. The food is amazing, with lots of tasty options to choose from, and their special dishes are worth trying. The management is very professional and helpful, always making sure guests are comfortable. The resort is clean and well-maintained, adding to the experience. Whether it's for a weekend trip or a special occasion, Akay Resort is a perfect choice. Highly recommended for a refreshing stay!

We have visited this place for a retreat and we have enjoyed a lot. This is 1000 times better than kanha and pench. Do visit this place.

Not worth 7k per night, trust me its literally a farm with cultivation of crops around it with some rooms. Location has no street lights and has kaccha road. There is no big reception hall or luxury perfume smells or multiple clocks of different time zone or musicians in dining hall that even 3 star hotels have. I do not understand why would anyone pay more than 1k per room for such resort that's many-many kilometers away from city in between rural area. Even the swimming pool is not maintained properly, its small and box like, even schools have better pools than these. Parking is also very bad, if lots of vehicle come for some event then the one way road gets blocked and the parking is so congested people start hitting and scratching vehicles.

Location: It's about 7-8 km off NH 53. While NH53 is a great road to drive on, once you're off the highway, the road becomes a little bumpy, the last 2 km are almost dirt road and not in a good condition. There are however, enough signs and signposts of the hotel to guide you to it. Farmland: The resort is built on a huge property, and once you enter the property, a dirt road will lead you down a winding path to the resort, which cannot be seen from the main road. The property has a couple of large ponds with lots of fish and a few ducks. the developed part of the property (or the resort) has a main reception/administrative building, and then a large square lawn, with individual rooms built on one side of the lawn, the swimming pool on another side, and open areas on the other two. Dining: The dining hall and kitchen are off the center lawn, and near the ponds. Breakfast is served at 8 am, lunch at 1:30 pm, tea at 5 pm and dinner at 9 pm. The staff are attentive and will readily server anything you need at any other time as well. All meals are served buffet style and usually have multiple cuisines in each meal. All meals are vegetarian. I would recommend you take some snacks with you. Rooms: Each room, with its attached bathroom, is adjacent to the other, but sounds don't carry, so its fine. The rooms are comfortably large, with chairs, side table, desk, closet and coffee/tea self-service amenities. The bathrooms are large and roomy as well. In our room, the bed sheet was clean, but had old stains on it. Similarly, the bathroom WC had old stains. The floor of the room was a little dusty and looked like it had been cleaned at least 2 -3 days earlier. Lots of charging points in the room, as well as an All Out mosquito repellent if needed (we didn't see any in Jan). Amenities: There is a children's corner, with a game room, swings, slides etc. And it was clearly a bit hit, as a large group of 4-5 families were there celebrating the birthday of one of the children. In fact, there were 3 -4 small groups of visitors. Lots of bicycles and even an ATV to drive around and explore. Recommendation: If you're going in a group, this is a great getaway. It's not a romantic spot for a couple, nor is there much to do if a small family (with grown up children) go there.
