Balishira Resort

A hidden gem turned to hidden turd. From recommending everyone to visit this place since our first visit two years back to leaving this place between our trip for a better holiday, that should paint a picture for you. The staff are quite helpful when any problem comes up but there are too many of them and the place has really lost its charm. Beside a beautiful hill with a stream running against the resort, it was beautiful, cosy and intimate. But the picturesque resort is ruined with an under construction swimming pool, right beside the parking lot for outsiders to stare you at when it's done; and a yoga shed? The resort has doesn't have a lot of space to start with and it's even lesser now. We have booked ourselves the private pool rooms, where I have been greeted by the staff who think it's a good idea to surprise guests from the back of the villa. Mind you I was only in my boxers; so be cautious when you're with your SO. Also even if you get the pool villa, avoid the first one as it's only as deep as my knees; and yes I checked out the other rooms which were a lot deeper. Cleanliness is not really a priority to them but they do try to fix it when addressed. Ante and cockroaches in the room. The complimentary breakfast is strictly carb based, with the exception of eggs. I honestly do hope they work on it, since the place has potential; but for now it's over priced and not worth it.

The first impression was very good here but some incidents on night changed my experience. There was no electricity throughout the whole night whether the other cottages was fine. The room was very hot and humid as the air conditioner was not working for the electricity. Tried to reach reception several times but they didn't answer. The mattress was in a horrendous condition.The food was good though

The place is amazing and relaxing. No problems with safety issues. For family tour or couple tour this would be recommended. Btw I didn't like their food system not that much. Their staffs and the behaviour was too good. We just loved everything.

Their service was really good... The ambience was really nice... The resort is very well decorated... A picture perfect resort... And of course good for relaxation...... We will visit them again in Sha Allah... You can come here with family as well..

Spend a great time there. Must go place with friends or family. The food was delicious and also the resort is full of nature. Also the room service is very good and also the behavior of stuffs. This place is recommended to visit and spend time..

This place is higly over-priced. They have Zero standard amenities for guests. I took my family & felt so embarrassed. First of all they have no waiting lounge or guest receiving courtesy. They use their restaurant as a lounge where there is no proper seat. They Didn't offer us any welcome drink. After long wait, we were okayed to check in & found ourselves in a dark room where there was no electricity & no generator. We had to go shower as we reached after a long journey & the washroom only had a deem light. Hot water barely worked when electricity was back. Water ran out in the middle of taking shower. Only one thing positive about this place is some of their staff & foresty outdoor. But that doesn't cover up the gaps. The Stingy facilities they offer to their guests include breakfast with very few items, tasteless food, room got tea but no milk, plug points are far away from table/bed & inhouse restaurant closes early. The amount we paid to this resort for a room which they call a villa was pretty high, & the issues we encountered were uncountable. There were so many mosquitos in washroom that spraying aerosol was not being enough. So, after passing the first night, my family decided to pay a little more for adequate service, and we checked into Grand Sultan the next day.

Very congested, not value for money at all. breakfast was average as well, no meat items. beds are not comfortable enough, they try to make it so commercial with rooms evey 5-10 meters that , it doesnt feel like sreemangal, i wil better choose any resort in gazipur with better space management minus long journey.

They are building a new swimming pool. It seems a bit congested. However, their food quality and service are quite good.
