The Kanjeng Resort Ubud

We had a lovely stay at The Kanjeng Resort Ubud. We stayed the suite room and were very happy with how spacious and clean it was. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom was well-maintained, and everything felt fresh. The surroundings were peaceful and green, which really added to the relaxing atmosphere. It's a great place to unwind and enjoy the Ubud vibes. The staff were also friendly and helpful throughout our stay. This is NOT the Puri Sunia Resort it claims to be. The original resort closed 2 years ago and was split into two properties: AnandaDara Ubud Resort and The Kanjeng Resort, but Agoda still uses Puri Sunia's old photos and reviews to mislead guests. On arrival, there was no proper lobby or reception, just one staff member with minimal English. Our first room smelled of mold, had spider webs by the bed, and triggered an asthma attack for my son. The second room was worse -- it had ants everywhere and a stronger smell of mold. Exhausted, we took a third room, but the bedsheets smelled dirty, and we had to sleep on top of the bedding fully clothed. The Kanjeng is nothing like its photos. There's no restaurant, no fresh breakfast (just pre-packaged food), and only 8 rooms, not a resort. I had to pay for a room at AnandaDara Ubud just to keep my family safe. Other travelers have had similar experiences, as seen in recent reviews. This is blatant false advertising and a health hazard. Avoid at all costs.

My partner and I just got back from a weekend at this resort, and it was fantastic, The atmosphere was super romantic, perfect for couples. Our room had a gorgeous view and a comfy bed. It made our mornings feel special. Plus, the pool was a highlight, we spent hours relaxing together.

The location of The Kanjeng Resort Ubud is very inconvenient, making it hard to get around and enjoy the local attractions. The property itself is disappointingly small and lacks the charm and amenities you would expect. The breakfast was a major letdown--very poor quality and not appetizing at all. Overall, it's not worth staying here.

Staff were very friendly and use WhatsApp to communicate. The breakfasts were lovely, (with meals I've never tried before) hand served to your room so no restaurant. They didn't collect my tray and sadly never came to remake the bed. The swimming pool was a bit cool and not sparkling clean but ok. You are in the lovely countryside so expect to be woken up by birds calling and insects around.

During my recent stay at this hotel, I was thoroughly impressed with the overall experience. staff members were exceptionally courteous and went above and beyond to ensure a pleasant stay. The room was spacious, clean, and well-equipped with amenities, providing a comfortable retreat after a long day of sightseeing. The hotel's facilities, including the pool were well-maintained and added to the overall enjoyment of my stay. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Ubud and look forward to returning.

Too many insects. Maintenance is poor. Breakfast is terrible - you get half a sandwich with 1 sausage cut up in 2 pieces! Staff use translator on their phones to understand English. Pool attached to cottage is uninviting & cold. Pool floor seemed unclean. They cannot supply extra mineral water at night. Only 500 ml water provided per person per day. Not acceptable.

The staff at The Kenjeng Resort truly made our stay unforgettable. From the moment we arrived, they were incredibly friendly, attentive, and always communicated with us clearly and promptly. Rishi, the manager, was particularly outstanding. He managed the resort with such grace, always putting our needs first and ensuring everything ran smoothly. The team's professionalism and warm hospitality were second to none.
