This place is amazing. The service is next level, everyone very friendly and cannot do enough to help. We haven't experienced anywhere like this place. You can literally have breakfast, lunch and dinner with the lion pride. You can pee while lions look on in the toilets. You have full|Access to the safari park which is amazing. You can feed elephants, giraffes and a variety of other animals and wildlife for not much money at all. The shoes are informative and brilliant to watch.||The hotel itself - only a few select rooms actually will have access to animals within close range and to be honest the giraffe only Roams in a particular area which again only a few rooms will have a great view of. You will see rhino, zebras etc anyway. We had lunch which was perfectly fine. Dinner however is a mess, it's a buffet style dinner or you can order from the menu but this menu will be the same as the lunch menu. Whilst you have lots of options for food from the Buffett unless your early it's absolute carnage. Food literally battered and lots of annoyed people trying to get to the full selection on offer. Pretty sure they need to allow a maximum amount of people at a time otherwise it's a like a scrum! ||We had breakfast with the giraffes which is a paid extra and we were seriously lucky we found out about it early and got one of the 2 daily slots. You get a lot of food for breakfast but you'll be too excited to eat. The giraffe and keeper will be yours for 1hr 30mins and during that time you'll get to hand feed the giraffe several times whilst taking pictures. The keeper is amazing and makes sure you get the attention from the giraffe. It's a private breakfast you'll have no one else there and it's well worth the money. We had a lot of jealous holiday makers who knew nothing about it. Book it it's better then any night safari you can book or private jeep tour. ||The rooms themselves are great, comfortable and clean and very big. Lots of added extra in terms of toiletries and drinks.||The night fire show is amazing and the cast great.||Well worth the money.||The park itself as said is amazing and worth a a visit as is the connected marine safari.

We came here for two nights at the end of our anniversary trip to Bali. I'm an animal lover and my husband lives by "happy wife, happy life"! I thoroughly enjoyed being up close with the animals and watching them - I think even my husband got into it. Walking through the park was amazing and educational and the shows were fantastic. We got to see animals we have never seen at U.S. zoos and sanctuaries. The staff was fabulous, as they are throughout Bali. They even put a sweet towel display for our anniversary when we arrived at our room. Relaxing in the pool and our room and being able to watch the animals was a treat. Unfortunately, our room needed a major update. Paint was peeling and our bathroom smelled of mildew. The room also needs much better lighting, and the windows could use a wash. Still we enjoyed our experience and would go back.
Make no mistake, this is a unique and imu forgettable experience. Don't 100% trust the videos you see online though.||My overall experience has been mixed due to the service, considering you pay close to 40,000 INR for 1 day here for the safari + room + marine park (for context, Hilton Bali Resort's 1 bedroom pool villa is 42,000 INR and the King room is 16,000 INR).||The videos you see about feeding the giraffe? Separately chargeable outside package. Feeding the herbivores? You need to throw the carrots 30 ft away minimum. Feeding the carnivores? Separately chargeable.||You get 10 carrots in your room for feeding. More carrots? No they've run out. Petting zoo, buy the food separately, also they've run out.||During dinner my cake and fries were picked up and taken away while I was eating as I got up to click a picture of the lion for 2 mins. During breakfast we asked for coffee. No, separately chargeable.||The bathroom smells of sewer. There was water logging as well.||The spa advertised as open air puts you in a dark tent.||BUT! The place is beautiful and unique. I have no regrets visiting here. It was worth it. The service could have been better considering its as expensive as a 5-star Resort's top tier room.
Mixed review for me! The family really enjoyed the safari, some good shows put on and the safari ride in the truck is a real highlight. Great to finish the day in the free water park, nice touch. Here comes the disappointment - we booked the night in the hotel there and they really are dated, not clean and unloved. For the amount of money you pay it's an absolute rip off. Room wasn't ready on arrival and it was tough luck, not even offered a free drink in the restaurant whilst we waited. The breakfast with lions was also a frustration as we were not allowed to sit next to the windows to get a good view as these were for "VIP's", you would've thought $600 Australian would give you that privilege. To top it off, no one even sat by the windows for the 45 minutes we were there. Take my advice - visit the Safari but treat yourselves to a very nice hotel elsewhere. Restaurants food and drink overpriced and small portions.
Please don't come here if you expect cleaning as 5-stars hotel. The distance between us and the animals is very close and wonderful. Zoo Entry Tickets and breakfast are included in the room rate, so this is a good deal. The food was good and not to mention you can eat with lions. The person who enjoys wildlife and animals deserves to stay here
A self contained trip with lots to do, if you don't squeeze everything, hahaa. Stayed for 3 nights and was happy with the pace of activities, including the Safari, water park, massage, performances, food. The Kifaru rooms which we have were spacious with full view of a portion of the safari, where zebras and rhinos roamed freely. We got to see the elephants' riding and also the safari journey along their routes. The staffs were fantastic, and always all smiles, making sure the visitors' experience is great. Only issue that nobody has controls over were those frequent thunderstorms, causing outdoor shows to be cancelled.
We are animal lover and what can be better than mara river safari lodge stay. In bali.||We stayed in 3 bedroom villa of mara. Which is close to the pool and you can see animals from there. ||The moment you enter, you see a carrot basket in your room to feed animals, which is complementary. We explored every show in resort for animals. Evening tribal dance show was also amazing.||If you like to see animals eating closely, choose feed the predator on expense instead of night safari.||Another amazing part is when you are at the restaurant washroom , What you see outside the glass window is a lion. ||We also took sankes in hand and touched iguana. Feed guinea pigs, turtle, deer. ||We r pure vegetarian and they do have few varieties for pure veg. I mean you can definitely survive for 2 days, as you do not have time to go out to eat.
Had the pleasure of staying here for 1 night with my family to celebrate my birthday and it was amazing. Upon arrival, we were greeted warmly and until we left, the service was excellent. We stayed in Twiga room (2 rooms) on the second floor, the room itself isn't too big but pretty comfy and clean. I had a peaceful sleep looking into the night sky and an empty field. The highlight was to see zebras and wildebeests coming towards our balcony in the morning! We were given a basket of carrots in our room to feed the animals, it was surreal to see wild animals looking at our balcony expecting food. There's a small river dividing the rooms and the open space where the animals roam, so you do need good stamina to throw the carrots to them We also saw many birds, a lovely giraffe that came out later, monitor lizards, and peacocks from our room. Buffet breakfast was also very good, wide selection of food and the restaurant is right next to the lion encounter, where we could see a few. They showed some birds during breakfast and outside the restaurant we could also see cute meerkats. The peacocks were walking freely. When you stay in the hotel, you get a free pass to the day safari (we also bought the night safari tickets that include free buffet dinner). I'd love to comeback and stay for 2 nights next time!
