Good : nice location -right on the beach at nusa-dua, authentic balinese style architecture and rooms (at least the bungalows) with poster beds, enough space and balcony. staff are very warm and friendly. The landscaping is excellent . There is a supermarket right opposite on the road and you can get any stuff there. ||not so good : rooms are a bit old - need refurbishing. the bathtub had cracks in it - though it worked fine. the swimming pool was nice, but with so much smoking going on from other adults, it was not a place for kids to stay. they really need to have a no-smoking time in the pool for a few hrs at least per day.||Things that can be improved: for vegetarians like us, the food (even in breakfast ) was limited. They tried to give a few options on indian vegetarian food which was not so good or tasty. They could have given some other vegan options like pasta, pizza, salads etc.

We had a wonderful time overall. The staff were incredibly kind and welcoming, and the gardens around the resort were absolutely beautiful. The breakfast was good with a decent variety of options. However, the room had a noticeable damp smell, which was a bit unpleasant. The biggest downside was the beach - unfortunately, it was quite dirty with visible trash. We hope more attention will be given to maintaining the cleanliness of the beachfront area.
The pleasure about this resort is the architecture, landscaping and atmosphere really makes you feel you are in Bali. The resort is compact, so you do not have to walk miles from one place to another. It has 3 main restaurants which are used differently depending on time of day or the show being presented. The beach is a pleasant bay where many watercraft play. The Indonesian staff are very friendly and always ready to help with a smile. The food was excellent, with many variety and abundance, whether buffet or ala carte. The breakfast buffet is outstanding! Highly recommend.
I'm very happy that I chose this hotel. The location was excellent, and the layout of the hotel was very convenient. Everything was thoughtfully arranged down to the smallest detail. The staff were exceptionally kind and professional. I had no issues during my stay, but I'm confident that if I had, the staff would have done their best to resolve them. The birthday cake left at our door for my spouse was such a lovely surprise. If I ever return to Bali, I won't look for another hotel -- I'll book this one again without hesitation.
The Bali Tropic resort is an older resort in the traditional Balinese style. Personally I appreciated the Balinese design and liked this aspect but they could probably make a few small updates to give it a fresher look. However I do NOT recommend booking a deluxe room. These are all in one small building tucked into the back of the resort with half looking directly into the back of another building. The majority of the resort is the deluxe bungalows which are nice and spacious. I choose to upgrade after seeing the deluxe room and I suggest the same for others. The staff are all extremely friendly and you can see they try hard to make you enjoy your stay. The general demographic was 90% Europeans aged in their 50-70s on the all-inclusive package. This meant that there was a lot of people drinking at the pool bar and smoking around the pool all day which wasn't ideal for our young family. Suggestion for improvement- if you want to be family friendly then there must be a non smoking area by the pool. Lastly the food was very average. We ate at the restaurant and ordered room service and found it all very underwhelming. Breakfast buffet is fine but for anything more I would eat elsewhere.
The service and staff were amazing! |Food very good but sometimes lacked variety on some days.|Cancelled beach dinner and entertainment due to weather |Our booking agent promoted daily bottled water provided however, we were told by reception the only water provided was in water dispensers on some of floors. We spent a lot of money across the road at the convenience store which is VERY expensive for water! |Not much to do locally (walking distance) |Beach quality was disappointing which I am sure was due to monsoon weather which I would not recommend. We would not travel at this time of year again to Bali. |Overall a lovely resort experience.
This was a great resort to visit. Its an older resort built in traditional Balinese style with carved doors and Balinese inspired rooms. While being older the staff are exceptional and service was amazing. We had an all inclusive package which is well and truly worth it. Chika the main pool bar tender is amazing. Highly recommend this resort. Sadly they have closed their kids club. Otherwise I have nothing negative I could say.
This a 3 star hotel at best. The best thing about it is the lovely staff, they are to be commended, could not fault them. It's not clean and very tired. The pool needs a good clean as well. The way they serve the all inclusive beer is ridiculous and I did put a bit of a complaint but it fell on deaf ears. If I hadn't done all inclusive at 2 other hotels, I wouldn't have anything to compare it with but for the same price, this one comes in at the bottom of the three so far, won't be going back. I hate doing negative reviews but couldn't let this one go, sorry
