OYO 1843 Hotel PLR Kandy

I recently stayed at PLR Kandy Tirupati for a night, and while the hotel has some positives, the overall experience was below average. The good aspects include ample parking space, a spacious property, and a polite staff. The in-house restaurant serves food at reasonable prices, though the quality is just average. The hotel provides breakfast, which is manageable, mostly South Indian dishes. However, there were several issues that made the stay less comfortable. Many amenities were broken-- faulty lock in the bathroom, non working TV which didn't work even after two people attempted to fix it. Additionally, there was no assistance for carrying luggage, and no one even offered help. For a short stay of one night, it's manageable, but anything beyond that could be a challenge. The hotel needs significant improvements in maintenance and service to provide a better guest experience.

I booked my stay through KSTDC, expecting a comfortable experience, but was quite disappointed. The hot water supply was inadequate, and the water quality was too hard. Despite paying a premium price, even a simple request for an extra soap was denied. Additionally, the cleanliness of the rooms and toilets left much to be desired. Overall, the service and amenities did not match the cost or expectations. The only positive thing was the food.

They given duplicate key to guide and they break in our room using duplicate key when myself and my wife inside the room. Rooms are dirty. Rusted steels are placed near toilets. Reception guys are having too much attitude.

Nice hotel with good ambience. Food is tasty and homely. Ice water facility is required. Car parking facility should be made available inside so that we can avoid walking long-distance. Swimming pool for children is awesome

Food they need to improve, overall Good

One of my worst buffet experienced at this hotel. As part of TTDC Thirumala dharshan package, they have organized lunch(buffet) at this hotel. Rice were not cooked well and most of the dishes were bit cold, not even served hot food. They called it as Naan, after one bite I kept it aside. No difference for rasam and Sambhar. Side dish for namesake and servers service were horrible. As of like they were acting like serving free food for us. I'm not sure why TTDC chosen this hotel for lunch buffet,unnecessarily it's going to spoil their brand and package reputation as well. Not even fit for 1 star this hotel. Hotel management need to focus on food quality and service and think that they were getting money from us for that good. Worst hotel and buffet.

Went there as part of the ttdc thirupaty trip.The hotel has a great area and is sufficiently well maintained. The pool requires special mention. The buffet lunch was average. The chakkarapongal was tasty. The bathrooms were neat,however there were stray dogs lying within. Also there was smell of cowdung all over,which was not at all pleasant. The place is located beside the highway and is easily accessible.
