We spent Two nights at Anugama Resort. Taking chance against other Resort in the vicinity. We found this place e adequate in basic needs and nice location. It's close to beach Wandoor Beach which Iin natural surrounding. One shiuld not expect five star facility but if you are looking for Cosby place with service having human touch this is the place. The staff is nice and looks after you. The beach is in walking distance and food is lovely at Jolly bay near Marine museum. The sunset and atmosphere at beach is breath taking. We did ATR route of rom here which was arranged by these guys. Food has to be ordered in advance they don't have big kitchen facility. But they make good local food their country chicken was one of the bestie hVe tested in last few years. Don't expect high and you will be happy. I will recommend place who like to try a bit of wild place in nature.

Wonderful stay in a cottage in the resort situated far from madding crowd on the sea shore. Thrilling to see ebbs coming at night to reach the resort followed by flow in the morning making the surrounding dry. || Service was good and food to our choice which we liked most. Only one thing lacking was WiFi for which we were cut off from rest of the world. Perhaps for that deficit visitors do not frequent. Trust the owner may take note of this and arrange. One more suggestion to the owner is that the complimentary break fast was awesome. It was just like fulfilling the promise. At least every break fast should have one banana and a boiled egg to guest's liking. Staff are very good and well behaved. One of them is Tapas Haldar who used to take our full care considering our age. We saw him working very hard in looking after every tit bit of the resort but he appeared to be sad for his low wage. It is upto the owner to consider but he seems to be an asset to the resort. Bankim Chandra Tola.
We stayed for couple of nights here. The nearest attraction is Wandoor beach but you cannot enter the waters because of crocodile-scare. Next is Jolly Buoy island - but the ticket for that is to be bought from Port-Blair, and the hotel offered no help to arrange it.||||The place is 25kms from the city attractions. There is local bus service if you want to get a flavor of it! Otherwise travel to and fro is not cheap. A pickup or drop to/from city is INR 800.||||Food was ok. The cottages were clean & comfortable. Staff was courteous and helpful.
We stayed at Wandoor village for a night at a very peaceful place - Anugama Resort. It's around 2 kms from the Wandoor Beach and 1 km from Mahatma Gandhi Marine National Park. The amenities are basic and are not for the ones who are expecting a luxury. The owners are very helpful and ensure that you have a comfortable stay at their resort. They have coconut trees around and they offered us unlimited complimentary coconut water. We used the cycles from the resort to go to the beach and it was one of the most amazing times we had in this village. Only plan your stay at Anugama Resort if you want to do things near to Wandoor Beach because it's quite far off from the main city of Port Blair.
Food is very good and cooked right in front of us to suit our taste and choice. But the staff is quite lazy and you need to poke them continuously to get the things done. But overall the place wears a gloomy look and you don't feel cheerful being around there. Mahatma Gandhi marine sanctuary is at a walking distance from this place and that is the only plus point.
We stayed at Anugama Resort for a week and the owners were fantastic to us. It is really quiet and you can enjoy the sounds of nature as you overlook the Padi fields and Lotus ponds in the morning. It is definitely a stark contrast to the commercial feel of Havelock. It's great for the adventurous and those are able to go back to basics. Ideal for families and couples.
We booked a package through yatra and they suggested this hotel. The stay was comfortable and close to the nature. The drawback being that it is very far from the city area which means we had to start early every morning for any activity. If you have a long stay at port blair, go for this hotel but for a quick 2-3 days visit to port blair - it would be tiring to stay at this hotel. The commute is killing - you can find some good hotels close to the city at such a price.
If you are a nature lover and like peaceful place away from city, this one is good. A small simple resort, very closed to Wandoor Beach and Jolly buoy. There are no fancy facilities but the food was great. only negative is this place is far from main city takes about 45 min to reach.
